Its a fair hotel for a international and being really cheap. you get what you pay for. When i went, the pool was super clean. and they were remodeling. The hot pool was working. their also had breakfast, and it was reallly good. I am a food person, and the food was fresh and i was excitied about that. My room had no problems except for the T.V to go out on day but nothing esle major. Oh, and in front of the hotel thier is bus spot, which is awesome!
The hotel was fine, and across the street, thier was another hotel and thier have a really good dinner for fair prices, and authenic bahemian food.
Hotel was fine, and the staff were sweet. its not no 4 star but a 3/2 star

“Run Down DUMP”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 December 2006

After traveling for most of the day, we were recommended this hotel by a local Bahamian. The place was a real DUMP. Thank goodness we were able to get out of there.

On our second night there, we were robbed...to top things off we informed the police and never got a follow up to our report. We hightailed out of there that very next day. To our amazement the owner had just returned from a 10 year jail sentence.

To make matters worst, when we asked for a refund, he refused and we had to really rough him up to get our money back. Then he informed us that the place is always being robbed and held up by gunmen.

The owner Jim White could never look you straight in the face and he always smelled of rum. The second night there they had locked us out and we had to wait forever to be let in. The place is in bad need of refurbishment and looks more like a motel for hookers.

We will never stay there again.

“Everybody Plays the Fool... Sometimes”

...And you certainly will if you stay at this motel. It is old, outdated, unkempt, and a waste of money. Security Travel booked us in this dump (why they even offer it as an option is unbelievable, but that's another story) and we understood that it would be modest accomodations. However, after talking to several native Bahamians on our way there, they seemed in shock that we would even consider staying there. That was our initial warning sign. We had ants in our sink, our shower didn't work, the A/C broke down in the middle of the night, and there was hair in the bed & bath linen. After travelling over 24 hours to get to this place, the only thing we wanted was a clean room and a hot shower. We were gravely disappointed. The staff was ok but most were indifferent when we had a complaint and needed assistance. The bar, whose signed always read, "The bar is now open" was rarely open, so we couldn't even drink the pain away. 75% of our fellow guests were upset with the accomodations and just tried to stay out in Port Lucaya most of the day & night. We did the same but for God sake, why pay for a hotel (especially one that charges $15 tax per person per night) that you can't even take a nap in? Geesh! Aside from the room sucking, the island is beautiful. Not a lot to do, but the people are friendly and helpful. The food and drinks in Port Lucaya are delicious and inexpensive. I would recommend eating conch whenever possible from the local street vendors though - it's much better and fresher than the restaurants. If you visit the island, stay at the Sheraton, Ritz, Our Lucaya or Pelican Inn.

Are these people kidding me? This was a "No tell motel"{meaning hourly rates}
Run down and dirty. There are so many other nice places to stay on the island. We were only there for one night, thankfully.

I was very surprised and impressed with how nice this resort was. Clean rooms(good size too), nice pool, restaurant, and walking distance to the beach and everything else.
