We had a wonderful stay at Lakeview manor club. We have been to Freeport, Bahamas many times and love the island. This was the best value for our dollar so far. Our one bedroom unit was large and nicely furnished with all that we needed. We had a beautiful view from our private balcony of the pool and golf course. The landscaping is nicely tropical with coconut & banana trees and is well maintained. It's a peaceful and lovely place to relax after a long day. The staff couldn't have been nicer. They were helpful, polite and made you truly feel at home. There is a free van service to take you to the beach, casino and shopping areas. The property is only about 3 miles from town and 2 miles from a really great grocery store. We look forward to future visits.

I was quite hesitant about coming here after reading alot of negative reviews about the lakeview manor club. We had a ground floor onebedroom apt and it was just great! The staff and guests were very good ! If you needed a ride somewhere they were more than willing to accomadate your needs and we got to no a couple of the ladies above us who were from Pittsburgh. This truly is a quiet beautiful place to stay never any problems of break-ins as I had read about other hotels and I enjoyed the morning walks onto the Ruby Golf Club! The Greens staff at the Ruby did not mind me going onto the greens and checking out thier cultural practices and I found they had better growth on thier greens than the Lucaya ! I played all my golf at the Lucaya only because my friend had a membership there! The pool was cool but with no solar blanket one could not expect much ! I was given the chance to drink raw Cocconut milk from one of the trees and it was quite tastey.The sun is quite hot and a dip in the pool made it worth while . I would go back there next year if the time is right and the temps are a little warmer!

This is my second stay at Lakeview Manor Club. I am surprised the place has STILL not been updated.

Positives: this place has minimal guests and is very quiet. I saw maybe 3 other guests on the whole property. Having the kitchen and large living space was convenient.

Negatives: too far from activities - have to get the free shuttle that runs selectively or call a taxi. No phone in room. The air conditioner in the living room does not cool the place adequately. Dishes and pots that were provided were disgusting looking. The dishwasher was broken. There was infestation of some sort of gnats in the kitchen. The last visit there was an ant infestation. The carpet needed to be cleaned badly. The sheets on the bed had hair and stains on them. There was a white gooey substance running down the baseboard of the bed and on the mirror near the bed. Towels and other bed linen they provided did not look clean. The staff is rarely around to help hotel guests if they need something. The pool was dirty and did not smell of chlorine - never saw anyone cleaning it daily.

This place would do so much better if the staff/owners cared. It is in need of thorough cleaning and upgrading. I don't plan to return unless I'm there for a quick "hump & dump"

I found this resort on the internet.

Other than information from the website, I contacted the management via e-mail.
I requested information asking about location and stated that security and cleanliness were my priorities. They did not respond specifically to my concerns but referred me to their website for information.

The website stated that studio units are available. However, when I requested this accommodation, I was informed that none are available but they have 1 bedroom units for rent.

I tried to find out their availability. They fold me to send t my travel dates. I did so but never heard from them again.

After reading the latest review, I can see that it does not meet the standard I expected.
