Vacation last week of October 2011. This was our second time staying at the resort, but our 5th time coming to Atlantis. The resort is what you make of it. We are there to relax at the pools and enjoy floating around on the rafts. We enjoyed the bar atmosphere and the bartenders were fun to talk to. We are not big drinkers except on vacation and we had fun with the bartenders. We booked the Beach tower, but were upgraded to the Coral tower. We were on the ninth floor, so the view was awesome. The rooms are not anything special, but are clean. We did not eat breakfast at the resort. Lunch at poolside was not bad. They have specials that are reasonable. The dinners are quite pricey, but we knew that going in. We went and got pizza a couple of nights and sat outside eating the pizza and watching everyone walk by the marina. We have spent time in the casino on past trips, but this time hardly any. We loved watching all the marine life around the resort. ( love the swordfish) The slides are fun, I'm in my late 40's, but still had a blast on the water slides. ( keep your butt up ) We went across the street to the shops and bought drinks and a bottle of rum to make drinks in the room and sit on the balcony.

Loved it all from the very start, the marine life swimming around you in the restaurants, overhead , the water park is amazing , The casino is an experience, The cruisers parked outside, food was excellent, bedrooms very comfortable. Only complaint is i left my phone on the bed side locker when checking out reliased at recepetion and when I got back to my bedroom ,maid was in cleaning and didnt see my phone. I was lost with out my phone for teh journey home. Reception were not very hepful when I complained.

If you've never been to Atlantis, you need to understand there are several levels of hotel rooms throughout the complex. Coral and Beach towers are older and refurbished. Royal Towers are newer, nicer and pricey. The Cove is at the high end. The differences in each hotel is very noticeable. We stayed at the Coral Tower for a meeting. Room was awkward, dresser didn't fit in the room and hung 8 inches into the bathroom doorway. My wife and I walked into it several times at night. There was a metal door stop in the middle of the room right in front of the closet that I stubbed my toe on a million times. Air condition system was not a window unit but I've stayed in hotels with them that were more quiet than this one. It woke us up at night everytime it came on. Maybe all the rooms weren't like this, but I heard from others in the group with similar situations.

That said, we really enjoyed our stay. Every staff person was exceptionally nice, and the Atlantis was an incredible property with huge aquariums with sting rays, sharks, and other fish. The slides were thrilling and the lazy river was not, it was a wave river, lots of fun.

Even Coral doesn't be the best inside Atlantis, everything there is the best, and the bahamian people is wonderful! Wonderful place! EVERYONE THAT LIKES TRAVEL MUST GO!!!
