We always stay in time shares with 2 small children. We checked in on a Friday into a 2br 2ba unit, but 2 days later were asked to relocate by mgmt at 7p!! We rented through redweek.com and it was a floating unit which wasn't assigned until we arrived. Turns out our condo was renovated early so original owners of unit just happen to walk by and discover that there unit was completed and someone was occupying it. Mgmt admitted it was there mistake, allowed us to move the next day (since its impossible to move at 7p with 2 toddlers), and upgraded us to a 3br 3ba unit on the top floor overlooking the harbor. Much nicer than the 1st floor unit we were in which faced royal towers. Also, mgmt did comp our meal that evening so we were pretty happy about that. The staff was overall super friendly and always greeted us.
Overall, food at resort was expensive and not very good. Marina pizza was awful, Murray's was not any better, bimini rd was gross. Virgils was the best meal we had there. If you want anything decent, you need to leave atlantis. The best food was had was at andros in the fish fry area of town. Only problem with going into that area is the locals really haggle the tourist to come into their restaurant, go on boat tours, take a taxi,....etc
We will definitely go back when the kids are a little older and can utilize the kids club. We rented a double stroller and the thing was like a rick shaw. I suggest bringing your own if you feel like lugging it.
We
used dolphin encounters instead of dolphin cay and had a wonderful experience with that.
Spa was really nice, kids pools were great, now if they can just improve on the food situation you would never need to leave!
