Due to family emergency I cancelled my reservations within 12 hours. When I called i was told there will be no cancellation fees. That of course was a lie because they did charge me $100.00. I travel a lot and never had that experience before. ALL hotels have at least a 24 hour cancellation policy.

I have been coming to the Bahamas for the last 3 years...We have stayed on Paradise Island, at the comfort Suites, and Sunrise beach Villas...Bar none, I would rather stay at the Beach villas. I know you get the amentites of Atlantis with the Comfort Suites, but everything is so convenient right at the Villas. Also, I would like to mention the service at Violas. We have been there at least a dozen or more times, that I lost count. I would like to mention one bartender in particular who deserves a special thank-you...She has been soo accomadating, and her service is inpeccable..Her name is Miladys Lowe. She always greets you with a smile, and treats you like you are her only customer. Being In the service industry for 20 plus years, i think its nice to give someone praise who absolutely deserves it. But all in all, what a wonderful experience at this resort and Restaurant...Everyone treats you like gold! We will definately be back in March, and will be reserving our place to stay there.

We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary with our three adult children and 2 grandchildren. This location gave us the perfect place to share time together....rooms were clean and resort was first rate. Great location next door to Atlantis without the noise and crowds. We walked over there for entertainment and then back to our quiet home away from home. Beach was first rate, pool ditto. Lovely people in office to help with everything. Will be back.

On the plus side it is not crowded, has access to the beach, kitchen, large rooms, good security

On the negatives, the internet and phones were down for 4 days, had mainteance issues and property needs update, old tvs, only a 20 gallon hot water heater, we went through 3 refrigerators before we got one that actually worked. you will have limited access to Atlantis if you do not stay with their properties, with all the maintance issues they decided to pressure wash the sidewalk with a loud compressor on Sunday morning !! They could have picked another time.

In conclusion if you are very limited in funds, this place is cheap, you get what you pay for, Sharon tried so hard and everyone was very nice but we spent alot of our time inconvenienced by things broken/not working . So you could give it a try but I don't /will not recommend it unless you are going on low budget trip. This is a one and half star hotel at best.
