It is amazing when you look at the beach in front of the beach club and then look at the Atlantis beach. At the Atlantis one its packed you'll be lucky to see the water through all the people. I prefer the beach at the club to the Atlantis one even if it was empty. Its not even real one time we went there and it was eroded and there were these huge concrete things that the sand was on top of and the only other beach on Atlantis property was packed. The beach club rooms are nice and spacious with two bedrooms a pull out coach, living room, dining room, and kitchen, which is the only thing that needs updating. The main pool is nice and private and the bar has a nice selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks my favorite is the cookie monster. You can still go to the Atlantis for its great extremely expensive restaurants but everything on both paradise Island and Nassau is expensive. The only downfall to the beach club is the restaurant it has good food but the cooks are on island time (very slow). Paradise Island its self is great with fun activities, good food, and great beaches. Also you can get taxis to anywhere from the front building at the club, and there is plenty of taxis the issue is they don't have one car or paint them yellow or are part of a company so we have gotten some bad apples. They also drive on the left which can be hard to get used to.

We own 2 weeks at this resort in December. This year we had the option of paying maintenance on week 53 and using it. Great decision. We really enjoyed our stay in our ocean front condo. Lots of improvements had been made to the outside of the property and they are now working with a decorator on the inside. This is a small resort that has 2 pools and one fun bar and grill. There is a mini mart on site for basics. We stocked up on arrival and had what we needed for the week. Most days we ate in for breakfast, lunch and then out for dinner. The beach is stunning as you are at the tip of the island and it has the feel of a private paradise. If you are looking for an Atlantis this is not the resort for you. It is a quaint quiet and lovely hideaway for couples or families with small children. The teens will need to walk down to Atlantis for a bit more action and activities. A 15 minute safe walk and you are there. This is a hidden gem that I hope will stay that way!

I should have written this reveiw a long time ago, as I lived in the Bahamas a few years ago.

The last time I stayed at the Beach Club property, I rented a space for a couple of friends that were traveling for the weekend and myself, they had an amazing time.
This is a great property, it is on an amazing location on the beach, right next to the exclusive Ocean Club Estates, and a public Beach area, the views are amazing, and you can walk for about one mile to the Atlantis. It is quiet at this end of Paradise Island, and still close enough to walk to everything if you want to see the atlantis or some of the great ocean side places to eat. The beach club has a little poolside restaurant that makes great little meals at reasonable prices, the pool area is secluded, and there are not too many villas, the size is just right. The beach club condos are spacious and have kitchens, very nice accomodations, comfortable beds.

We spent a week at PIBC from Oct 22-29, 2011. I have to say - we really liked it here. The best part of PIBC is - by far - its location on Cabbage Beach. Cabbage Beach is gorgeous and is the same beach the Atlantis is on. In fact, you can see the Atlantis if you look left. I felt like we were getting the same beach experience as Atlantis guests without the insane amount of $$$ they were probably paying. So the beach is less than a minute walk away - or at least it was from our room - RM 20. We could see the ocean from our porch - amazing view. Let me break it down:
1. Beach
- Beach is gorgeous. You walk to front of property, through gate and down some steps and bam you are there. There is usually one or two employees there who will grab you chairs and umbrella. We usually gave them a few bucks as a tip every day. The chairs are clean and nice and the umbrellas really make it super comfortable in the sun. There is no drink service on the beach but you can walk back onto the property and order a drink and bring it down with you. The water is a beautiful blue and we had some big wave days - fun for body surfing - and some calm days too. Sand is beautiful and beach was very clean. Only maybe 2 or 3 vendors walked by selling cigars or hair braiding or some flute thing the whole time we were there. And they were polite and not a nuisance. You get towels from the front desk. You could spend your whole week on the beach just relaxing and not even leave.
2. Room
We were in RM 20. We liked it. Keep in mind - this ain't the Ritz. But I felt the room was clean and big. We had 2 bedrooms - one with king bed and bathroom and other with two twins and separate bathroom. Had big dining room glass table and great little common area with wrap around couch. TV was available and even had HBO and STARZ and SHOWTIME. Kitchen was small but had a working stove, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. We made our own breakfast and lunches and ate out most nights. I would say room is just a little bit outdated. But it was clean and fine for us!
3. Property location
- We rented a car. You don't need to rent a car. You can walk down to the Atlantis in about 15 mins or to the bridge or to the ferry in about 15 mins too. You can either stay at the property all week and veg or venture out with a cab to do grocery shopping or check out a restaurant. I would suggest not renting a car (we spent $290 US dollars for the week) but instead take a cab to and from airport and a cab to grocery store and load up. Then you can walk or cab down to Atlantis area where there are restaurants and shopping galore. We usually drive around islands and we didn't have any desire this year since all we needed was at our beach.
4. Money
We've traveled a lot. And the Bahamas was the most expensive place we have ever been to. $7 for half gallon of milk. $10 for gallon of ice cream. I mean the prices were even worse than Hawaii. I would absolutely load up on groceries there because still cheaper than eating out. But stuff one of your bags with food from your country - like pasta, sauce, cereal, granola bars. For example, I brought Nature Valley bars ($2.50 in US) They were $7 at grocery store there. Don't know how much wine was there but we bought a case of Kalik beer there - it was $45. A lot.
5. Excursions
- We did the Blue Lagoon Dolphin Encounter - not the swim. Worth the $90 we each paid. We did bring our iphone camera down to the dock and covered it since it does get wet. But taking pics of ourselves with the dolphin saved us tons since they charge $18 or so minimum for a pic.
6. Overall
I definitely think PIBC is worth it as long as you don't expect brand spanking new facilities. If you are laid back and want to relax on a beautiful beach, this is the spot. I thought the people that worked there were nice enough and the other people staying were nice too. A mix of Americans and Europeans. Facility was clean. There was just an odor when you walked in the center of the resort near the mini mart but once you walked past you were fine. We also did the Wed night Bahamian night with the fire guy Action Jackson. It was $40 each and we enjoyed ourselves. It is a little hokey but really fun at the same time. Enjoy the Bahamas and PIBC!!!
