“Incredible Value”

When we booked our stay, our expectations were not that high. We were incredibly pleased and surprised! Although undergoing renovations, the property is excellent. Our mini-suite was well-appointed, clean and convenient. To a person, the staff was very cordial, professional, and helpful. The included breakfast was good quality, especially considering the cost of food elsewhere. The daily energy surcharge and maid fees were high but par for the area. Overall, booking through cheapcaribbean.com made it an an unbeatable value.
The real highlight, however, was the free daily access to Atlantis and the Aquaventure attractions. We went every day, saving about $120 per person per day. The hotel is steps away from the Atlantis entrance.

Room Tip: We were on the pool level. Nevertheless, it was amazingly quiet.

“Comfortable, Nice and Affordable stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

Just came from a 6 night stay at the Comfort Suites on Paradise Island. It was definitely a worthwhile stay without all the hype of staying at Atlantis. The staff was wonderful, everyone was pleasant. We changed our room right after we checked in because it was near an elevator, no problem. The blow dryer needed to be fixed, again, no problem and prompt service. Also, Mike the bartender is great! You should definitely stop by and have a conversation with him, he can give you some really good suggestions on what to do and where to eat during your stay.

I'll breakdown the rest of the review with Pros and Cons (not so much a con, but things to be on the lookout for if you are a picky traveler)

Pros:
Free Breakfast!!! Yes, it can get routine after a few mornings, but its free
Access to Atlantis and Aquaventure...included!
Comfortable Stay with pleasant staff
In room fridge and available microwaves
Great bartender (Mike)
Extremely close to Atlantis
Musical entertainment in the bar area at night

Cons:
They are doing some " refurbishing " but as long as you get a room away from the work you're fine
Very basic room without a balcony, but how long are you really going to be in the room?

Overall, if I was to return to Paradise Island, Comfort Suites would be my #1 choice.

Room Tip: Stay away from the " refurbishing " construction areas If you have children or go to bed...

“Great Improvements”

It has been a few years since my last stay at Comfort Suites and though I am always please with the services I have to say I was delighted at the recent changes. The renovations to the interior from the lobby to the rooms are beautiful and really bring new life to the hotel. They have also revamped their continental breakfast and it now includes eggs and yogurt, two wonderful additions to an already great breakfast. The staff is always friendly and courteous and willing to help with any questions or concerns. The location is fabulous and to have full access to Atlantis really seals the deal. This hotel is a true gem, the location is great, the hotel is clean and beautiful, the pool is quiet, the bars (and bartenders) are fun, the staff is friendly and courteous and it is child friendly. Could not recommend this more or a relaxing, stress free stay.

“A friendly, comfortable stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

We we're really happy with our stay here.

As we don't normally 'do' chain hotels, it was a real surprise to feel that way.

Firstly, the staff here are fantastic. All across the islands, the Caribbean friendliness rings true, and here the staff really seem to genuinely enjoy their interactions with the customers. If the management ever read these reviews, you have some exceptional staff in Raj at the desk, Annamae in Housekeeping and Michael & Crystal at the bars. They all contributed to our party's stay being enjoyed by all.

To address the value question, it's simple. Book early or get a promotion, then you will get good value. Pay full price and it will seem poor value. Enough said.

The free access into Atlantis (which is really really close) was a real boon for us with a large party to entertain.

The room we had (346) was spotless and extremely comfy, with a lovely view of the pool from the first floor. It had a good (free) wi-fi connection too. They seem to be decorating and refurbishing rooms all over the building at the moment so don't be afraid to ask.

The breakfasts are as you'd expect. Not high quality but good choice and lots of it. You can spot the cannier families stocking up for their lunches here too! But it is a big negative having to use all the plastic disposable plates, knives and forks etc. A cost saving that really spoils the place.

For an excellent value meal alternative to the plastic of Paradise Island, walk over the 'out' bridge to the 'shack' restaurants under the Nassau side. Twin Brothers do amazing broiled fish dinners and have started expanding to other islands on their reputation.

Room Tip: 1st floor, south side, overlooking the pool

“Good enough”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

Location, location, location. The hotel is, well, a Comfort Inn (it's really not much of a suite, but it was plenty of room for my wife and toddler daughter). Obviously the draw here is the access to Atlantis, and that definitely makes it worth it to stay there. There is so much to do at Atlantis, we really didn't spend much time at the Comfort Suites. It did offer a very comfortable bed, quick check in, and a friendly enough staff. The breakfast was somewhat limited (expect less than Hampton Inn type quality and selection), and they always seemed to be out of bananas or yogurt. Despite this, I would absolutely recommend staying here just for the value of getting such convenient access to Atlantis at a reasonable price. It was such a hassle free vacation with a walk across the street to Atlantis and all of the restaurants at Marina Village. We ended up taking in sandwiches from the Quiznos for lunch one day to save money. For dinner, it was about a 10 minute walk to a bar/restaurant named Viola's at one of the small bungalow type resorts, which was a nice quiet setting with better prices than anything right by the hotel. As far as Atlantis goes, we strongly recommend the Cove beach, especially if you have little ones. The Atlantis beach had rough surf and was full of vendors, but the Cove was calm and great for wading and watching the fish swim by your feet.
