When i arrived the staff was very friendly not only that the room was so great everything was super clean and really organized......everything was very accessible the beach and the pool was very clean....food was great my kids loved it as they were really comfortabl in this great hotel...service is great i have to say that again!!!!!! the staff was so into making the us the guess happy....great to take the family i will recommende and will be back for sure..........

My husband and I went for a quick getaway to Nassau, Bahamas. We had heard from a friend that the Land Shark Divers Resort is under new Management again and that they were turning this resort around, so we decided to give it a try. This hotel is NOT for divers only. Everyone is welcome!!

We went there with an open mind and were VERY pleasantly surprised. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and treated like extended family members. The food was superb, fresh and hot.
The rooms are being overhauled at the moment. The Staff is very friendly and definitely lets the Bahamian hospitality shine. The linens, bath towels and pillows are new, clean and crisp.
The water pressure is still not what it is supposed to be, but hey, it gives a totally new meaning to "refreshing shower". The hotel needs some cosmetics and they are working on that, is what I've been told.
The pool is open all day. This resort is not at the beach. The resort is easily accessible by bus 10, which takes one to and from the straw market and downdown Nassau. All taxi and bus drivers know this hotel.
I highly recommend this hotel if you can step away from the mindset of the bigger, cookie cutter hotels like the Sheraton, Radisson and Crystal Palace.

If you need anything, just let the Hotel Staff know and they are very willing to accommodate your request.

We are going there again in July and are taking our friends and family for a HUGE b-day bash.

For $88 a night--with no additional fees or taxes--at a major tourist destination, what do you expect?

A fantastic deal--and the staff and live-in residents of the place were the nicest people we met on the island!

The showers are shared between two units each.

The window curtains are sewn to the curtain-rod so that they don't slide aside. I used clothespins to pin them up to get light into the otherwise dark room.

There were live insects and detritus in the sheets and pillows.

And the water pressure was so low (with almost zero hot water), it was very difficult to take a (cold) shower.

As far as I could tell, there were no other divers staying on the property. But they do have a locked dive locker on the premises, a pool you can use to try out your weighting, and the shared showers are big enough to carry all your gear in. The in-room "slop" sinks are also great for rinsing out your wetsuit. But with very little ventilation in the room, your gear will take days to dry unless you take it outside.

And again, everyone on the property was so dang friendly and helpful--very different than what we experienced at A Stone's Throw Away and Sheraton Cable Beach. Needless to say, we had quite a unique trip to the Bahamas, where in a handful of days, we got to stay at three totally different properties: an off-the-tourist-track B&B; a 4-star tourist resort; and Land Shark, which we dubbed "The Plywood Palace."

If you're looking to save a ton of money and you'd like to hang out at a laid-back outdoor (covered) bar while drinking and smoking with easy-going locals and ex-patriots, this might be your perfect spot.

In response to what was said about Land Shark Divers Resort...... It is now under new management. It is a DIVING RESORT and not a five star resort/ hotel it was designed specifically for diving adventures and not romance. There is now entertainment available including televisions, and night events. I’m sorry that u felt that way about your stay but I would encourage other persons interested not to get discouraged and experience staying at Land Shark themselves and write a review of their stay.
