The resort in very small and so the staff is able to attend to your every need. Construction was taken place during our stay, But Managers Jones and Vernon was very helpful in seeing that all of our needs were met. Chef Cleveland was great also, great personal meals. My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Sandyport. We will be coming back soon if they will have us. Thanks again Vernon ,lady Sara and Mrs Jones. Kurt Cummings

“Nice rooms and excellent food”

The rooms are basic, but very nice and clean. We found the property is very well kept and quiet at night.
There's a small bar area very close the a small sandy beach that turns into a small restaurant every evening. There's usually only the chef and sometimes his helper. There's no menu, so he can make recommendations or simply ask you what you'd like to have the next day. His cooking is excellent and the price is very reasonable.

Room Tip: If you have a lot of luggage, request the first floor. There are no elevators on this property.

This is my second stay at this resort. The accommodations are spacious, clean and very welcoming with great views of the canal.
The staff was so helpful and knowledgeable about all the activities going on the Island. They recommended us some great restaurants (Mesa Grill & Nobu) but do try the restaurant on property (beach club restaurant) which is excellent.
Definitely a place that I would recommend to anyone that wants to wind down and find you again.
I will go back soon

Room Tip: Perfect for family

“Nice simple family resort”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 December 2011

We just returned from a week at Sandyport, and it was lovely. Be aware that this is not a mega resort with lots of amenities, but if you are looking for a clean simple get-away that is kid friendly and safe, this place is perfect. The staff were very attentive to our needs, our unit was pleasant, and we had a nice time in the kiddy pool. The beach across the road on the ocean is not fabulous because it is a little rough, but the lagoon right in the resort is a safe place to paddle in the ocean.

The restaurants are fabulous in the vicinity, and I really recommend Spirtz. It is new and right across the bridge, with affordable prices.

This is out of the "maddening crowd" and there are not a lot of stores around the resort, so plan to take day trips if you want/need to shop.

Thanks so much!

Room Tip: Go for the jacuzzi suite. Worth it here. Best balconies, more room.

Dear raingirl3,

Thank you very much for your wonderful comments about your recent stay with us at Sandyport. We are so pleased that you found the resort "lovely".

The resort is a smaller and quieter resort than many of the others on the island and I am pleased that you enjoyed our atmosphere. Many guests comment on the rest and relaxation and the hospitality of our team. If you can pull yourself away from your hammock though our concierge can assist with booking all of the best activities the island has to offer. I am sorry that the sea was a bit rough while you were here but so glad that you enjoyed the pool and lagoon beach area.

Our One Bedroom Deluxe Suite is definitely popular in fact it is our signature room - that is the one with the Jacuzzi and yes definitely the best views and more room plus a full kitchen.

Spritz is the latest offering and is proving very successful. For the benefit of other readers I would like to include a short summary of options available (we are not allowed to list websites etc). The Beach Club Cafe at Sandyport, The Poop Deck at Sandyport, Spritz at Sandyport, and The Cozy Corner Pub and Sports Bar are all located at the Sandyport Development and in walking distance. The majority have their own websites with copies of menus etc.

Dominos Pizza, Golden House Gourmet Chinese Food and Sbarro's The Italian Eatery will delivery to your room or pool side. Wendy's is also at the edge of the Sandyport Development located only a short walk away.

The Studio Unit has a mini kitchen, and the One, Two and Three Bedroom Deluxe Suites have full kitchens. There is the Olde Towne Marina and Convenience Store with in the Olde Towne at Sandyport for basic and liquor needs. The Super Value Supermarket is a short walk away at the edge of the Sandyport Development. We provide a complimentary shuttle on Sunday mornings. There is also BBQ Grill available poolside for guest use.

Our team would also be very happy to assist with making reservations at any of the other restaurants available on the island.

I hope that you have sand in your shoes and that we shall see you again soon.

Kind Regards
