We stayed there with 2 friends for 6 days. With a low budget (considering the fact that Bahamian hotels are highly overpriced), we choose Towne because of tolerable rates. As we're not scared of longer walks, we loved the location (took around 20 minutes walk to Paradise Isle). Hotel itself is very cozy and reminded of a student home. Even romantic in a way. No fancy stuff, just a little out of date furniture which actually suited to this homey place well. Room was clean and fresh, chalky clean bedsheets and cozy beds. Functioning TV/cable, ceiling fan, phone. Free WIFI in lobby. No funny smells, no insects (except from a 6-7 cm long cockroach who lived outside...but he seemed friendly). Staff was helpful and dinner at hotel restaurant was delicious.
If you want lot of extras and luxury around you and beach in the back yard, don't go. If you're up to citylife, walks and need a place to sleep, this is a good place.
