My sister and I arrived and got lost finding our room. Upon our arrival, we saw a man that had fallen from the 2nd floor escalator and was face down and bleeding. The paramedics were there, but it was an uncomfortable first impression.
The hotel layout is large and outdated, I nicknamed this the Miami Vice hotel because of the outdated gold trim. The hotel itself is in poor shape and needs painting, repairs to the ceiling, and new carpeting.
The food was definitely nothing exceptional. Every single time you order something, they automatically add in gratuity. So, we often left the hotel to eat elsewhere. Watch out, every single time you take a taxi anywhere it is $15-20 a ride which I found to be a bit ridiculous since everything is about 7 miles away.
We often went to the Sheraton because there were more people there along with better music. Although, if you are outside at the Wyndam bar, go see Diego. His energy was great and definitely made my experience a bit better at the Wyndam.
I would have given this hotel a "Terrible" rating except for the fact that the rooms were clean and nicely set up. Also, my sister left her camera at the hotel and was able to recover it.
There are a lot of extended stay travelers for work. We did not really see any young people our age. Mostly, families and an older crowd in their 40's-50's.
Personally, I would not stay here again.
Room Tip: If selecting this hotel, I would suggest an ocean view.
