“Not as bad as the reviews say”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

The hotel does need many renovations im not gonna lie.The room we where soposed to get was horriable. So we upgraded for 200$ extra to a ocean view suite. It was a nice room with a nice view of the ocean. The jacuzzi was broken in the room.So was the pullout couch.I almost forgot the hotel charged us a "resort fee" of 38$ a night. We were very upset about that.Theres no kids pools. The staff was great. My daughter fell one day and hurt her hand. The staff was very concerned and helped us greatly. They also checked on my daugher several times.

Room Tip: Choose a ocean view room!

“This property gets worse and worse every year !”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

We have a time share , so it was our 5th year at that property. It started nicely and went down the hill every year. We always going at Christmas time, so we can compare "apples to apples":
1. Main entrance was closed DAILY. The ONLY entrance was now through the stinky-sigarette-tobacco- casino.
2. Cleaning service- rooms were not done until about 4-5 pm ( DAILY!).
3. There are no microwaves in the rooms and refridgerator was the size of the microwave.
4. The nice pool my kids used to enjoy - is now cold, dirty and un-cared for ( had been for the last 2 years).
5. Jacuzzi - is DIRTY and barely warm ( it was closed every other day for repairs, but no difference was noticed).
6. The beach area is given for rent to local junk-vendors, who keeps following you around begging to make a sale ( fake designer purses, scarves and jewerly).
7. I have not seen a single life-guard on duty for 14 days of our stay there.
8. There are used to be a lot of people (at Christmas time at least)- and now -just a few bargain travelers. Originally there were 4 towers- two are completely abandoned now (multiple missing balcony doors and windows :-( )
9. Hungry homeless cats walking all over the property after the dusk and early in the morning.
10. Buffet is TERRIBLE and food is DISCUSTING ! And it is expensive !!!
11. Their "fitness center" - ( is used to be oceanfront and pretty nice in one of the abandoned towers)- is now pathetic 4 trademills along the public hallway. That is it!!!!
13. The Casino: don't get me started! Small, dark, stinky... There is a little coffee station with a sign:
" DO NOT TOUCH! Drinks are NOT complimentary!"
14. There are 4 public computers available. I am not even going to go into the waiting line there over the teenagers on Facebooks for hours at a time. There was ABSOLUTELY nothing else for kids to do in this hotel!
15. The ice-cream shop was closed for 10 days out of our 14 day stay.
But duty-free alcoholic beverages store was always open. By the way, it had been moved from its original much bigger area into little "closet" space.
16. We did spent ALL our time in Sheraton Hotel, as at least one of their 3 pools was warm enough for my kids to enjoy. One of their 2 jacuzzies was actually hot ( so it was always over-packed with people from THEIR and OUR hotel).
Their pool entertainment and arts and crafts activities for kids were AT LEAST something. They had inflatables on the beach for kids to enjoy.
The movie on a Christmas eve was the SAME movie for the past 5 years !!!! The SAME !!!

Room Tip: we had a room on 11-th floor of the Hibiscus Tower. The ocean-partial view was nice ( the other view...

“stay at wyndham Nassau”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

I was at Wyndham hotel in Nassau for 6 day. I defiantly recommended to anyone goes to Bahamas stay in this hotel. I stay in Casino tower and I had an ocean view room. It was awesome. Great price, free water sport (Cano, paddle boat and two big pools) also internet is free in lobby. Staffs are friendly and if there is anything wrong they will take care of that. I would like to tank Devon Scott and G. Cloud to make my trip unforgettable.

Room Tip: I suggest Casino tower and an ocean view room. With that price you could not get anywhere else in Ba...

“Wyndham Nassau”

Stayed there January 2012. Hotel is conveniently located on the beach which is great! We used most of the amenities at the Sheraton next door as the jacuzzi was not working and the outdoor activities. You will need to pay a resort fee for each day $39 and there is no way around it. The hotel staff was very slow at responding to our need for our room in which the bathroom was broken from the day we got there and they kept on sending staff to fix it but it never was fixed. The bar restaurant with karoake was only open one night. I did not understand why your bar would be open 1 night for tourists. If you are staying in the cable beach area at this hotel, there is not much to do at night time in the area. Food is awful at both hotels, Wyndham and Sheraton! I would recommend cabbing it into downtown if you are looking for a nice restuarant or a night out in which all buses stop running at 6pm from cable beach (cab fare $20 one way). Casino was quiet

Room Tip: ask for the H tower

“Decent Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

Stayed at this hotel in January. Room was nice and clean with great ocean view. Nice beach on property and staff was relatively helpful. This isn't the nicest hotel in the world but the price was right and everything was clean. Didn't go to casino as we are not big gamblers. Everything seemed to close pretty early and checking out towels was kind of a pain as they had to be returned by five. Overall a good stay with a clean room and great view. Wound up using the Sheraton pool and amenities which is a shared property next door. Saw many terrible reviews so was nervous when booking but we had a good time and would stay again. This is not a high end place to stay but we knew that going in. Only complaint was food prices but that can be said for everywhere in Nassau. Reccomend eating at the "Fish Fry" and there are cheap rum filled dacs across the street for $6.

Room Tip: Make sure you get ocean view in casion tower floor 7 or higher!
