Great place! Locations was perfect: in Cruz Bay but not on top of the action, and close enough to North Shore beaches. You can probably get away with not renting a car. We travelled by taxi most days and rented a car for 2 days (it helped us see the island but boy was it only for intrepid drivers!!). We were in Hawksnest Room which had AWESOME views and good comforts: like a balcony, a great bed (I like firm mattresses!), wireless internet access, in-room kitchen essentials, hairdryer, safe, and tv. Nothing beat watching the sunset from the balcony while sipping a glass of wine. We found it very helpful that we could use the coolers and beach stuff for our trips to the beach. Lauren, Brion and Christy gave us very good advice everyday about where to go and what to do. The inn is right next to Caneel Bay and the entrance to the national park, so even if you don't want to venture far, there's lots to do. Honeymoon and Solomon Beach is right near the hotel with a hike required to get down there - but it's worth it. Lauren and Christy also helped us get to and from the ferry - a big help when not renting a car! I would definitely stay here again!

We recently returned from our honeymoon to the US Virgin Islands-St. Croix, John, & Thomas! St. John was by far our favorite! The beaches are picture-perfect, there is so much to do, and the people are wonderful! Estate Lindholm made our stay and was exactly what we were looking for in an accommodation! We stayed in Jumbie with a breathtaking view of Cruz Bay and St. Thomas-the night views are even jaw-dropping! Lauren happily picked us up from the ferry dock and checked us in. The room was spacious and clean and we loved the walk-in shower. The grounds are well-maintained and it almost seems like a mini botanical garden with all the plants, flowers, and geckos. Honeymoon Beach is only about a 15 minute hike away and is one of our favorites. The water is crystal clear and the snorkeling is great-lots of fish and even sting rays!

Lauren & Brion make a point of it to come to breakfast to get to know their guests which really makes you feel welcome and their knowledge of the islands came in handy many times for our snorkeling, kayaking, and hiking adventures. The breakfast was more than enough-bagels, toast, muffins, hard boiled eggs, cereal, juice, coffee, etc. The property is situated at the top of "the hill" which makes for the stunning views but it is a workout (although it helps work off all the food and rum you will have while on vacation!) If needed, a taxi is always available to take you up or down or anywhere else on island. If you need any dining recommendations-We loved Ocean Grill, Morgan's Mango, Grotto Deli, Sun Dog Cafe, and Iguana Grill.

We cannot wait to return to St. John and will make a point of it to stay at Estate Lindholm when we come back! The staff and location make this the best pick on St. John and it will truly feel like you are coming home after a long day of adventure or doing nothing at the beach. We loved staying at Estate Lindholm. The gardens are beautiful, the rooms very nice and comfortable, the location is very accessible to any place you would want to go, the view to die for and the owner very accomodating and lovely. It was a great trip!!

The owner, Lauren, was gracious, welcoming, and full of good tips. She happily volunteered to drive us to the ferry at 5:45 AM so we could catch our early departure flight! We loved the comfortable bed, in-room kitchenette, harbor view from our balcony, and being able to access happy hour, breakfast, and small pool all at the bottom of the stairs. Grounds are lush with beautiful gardens (and geckos!). Room was clean, with fresh linens daily. AC unit worked great. Would definitely stay again.
