We stayed for a week in 6D -upper level, ocean-view, very nicely renovated and lovely sunset views over the turquoise waters. Friends stayed in 6C, also updated lately, and very well decorated. Both units were great for couples, and when we wanted to cook, the kitchens were well-stocked with utensils and appliances. The grounds at Gallows are beautifully kept, and the rocky beach below the resort has in my opinion some of the best snorkeling - when other beaches were murky, the water there was crystal clear. (We were there Jan21 to Jan28, when it was mostly good weather but very windy) Easy walk into Cruz Bay. Very important to us -- the staff at Gallows was unfailingly polite,friendly, and helpful. We will return!

Gallows Point condo complex is a great place to stay in St. john. Since we prefer being close to town, GP was the place for us. The property picked us up at the dock and in 5 minutes we were checked in and in the unit. Fully equipped, brand new baths and kitchens. Wifi was problem free. Pool is small but clean. Access to the water for snorkeling is right down a flight of steps. Easy access to Cruz Bay restaurants and shopping. The property is kept well, the unit we rented for 5 days was 11C upper unit with a view of the Bay. You can hear the music and nightlife from Cruz Bay, but it didn't bother me, and it was all done by 10pm. We opened the windows, put on the fans and enjoyed the breezes and the sounds of the water. We were not able to reserve a car through the concierge/shop due to none being available. This place gets many repeat vacationers, so they must be doing something right. Definitely recommend.

My wife and I stayed at Gallows Point for a week and could not have been happier. the rooms are condos and the views are amazing. we stayed in one of the upgraded rooms, the shower is awesome. short walk to town. eat at La Tapas. rent a jeep. all can be booked with the inhouse concierege very nice overall.

My husband and I stayed at Gallows Point for a week. We were in a top-floor suite with views of the water and St. Thomas. The sunset at Gallows Point is one of the best on the island. The accommodations were lovely - roomy, modern, cozy. The bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen was well-equipped and easy to cook breakfast in. Gallows Point is just up a small hill from Cruz Bay, and you can easily walk to Cruz Bay to shop, eat, etc. As far as we can tell, the only downside to the resort is the noise at night. The restaurant on premises, Zozo's (it's fabulous, by the way), is located on the second floor of a building with a rooftop bar. The noise from the restaurant and bar, which seems to be open until 10:30pm, carries right into the suites. Almost every night, we heard loud talking (which picked up in volume as the night went on) until 10:30pm. We realize this may not be a big deal for most, but we're more early to bed and up early people. Additionally, the noise from the town wafts up to Gallows Point. Most nights, I went to sleep with the sounds of a bass line thumping. If you're a late to bed person, this is probably no big deal at all. Everything else was fantastic, and we realize this is out of the resort's control.
