This hotel is not what it shows on the leaflets
I stayed there with my husband last wednesday 7th sept.2011 it is very tired and needs a complete refit.
We stayed in one of the chalets out back because if you have a pet (our small yorkie benji) You cannot stay in the main house.
Thats ok in fact it is very good because when you go for walkies at 7 in the morning there are no stairs and you dont disturb anyone
Unfortunately the mould on the ceilings due to damp and the mould around the tiles in the bathroom, and the cobwebs on the celing and pelmet are very off putting, not to mention the dust kicked up when i retrieved my dogs ball from under the bed, along with a hair fancy grip, a bottle top and other undiscribable items.
we had to call the girl in reception to get the tele on, it was so complicated and then when she managed to switch it onto a chanel, she admitted she didnt know how she had done it, (she just kept pushing all the buttons) !!!!!
So we left it on while we went out for dinner (not at the hotel)
the main reception in the hallway was not being used and the desk in the dinning room was being used as reception.
I pointed out the cobweb hanging from the ceiling with dead spiders in it, so it MAY have been moved by now, (but i wouldnt hold my breath.
The breakfast was clean although my fried egg was well over cooked with crispy bits all around the edge and hard yolk.
No imagination for breakfast, orange juice Very week concentrate too watered down
cerial, and cooked one sausage, one egg, one bacon, one black pudding and toast
that was it, there was fresh fruit but i could see the dust on it.
It has the potential to be a nice hotel (maybe it once was) but now it is tired and un cared for and probably unloved (shame).......
