“Magens Bay Villas jan14-28 2012”

Just returned from two weeks at Magens. met a lot of friendly people also staying at Magens. The staff was also friendly. Our room was clean and we had no problems with utilities. The bar and restaraunt is under new management and once again we found the staff friendly and food good.enjoyed the entertainment which was provided three nights a week. existing pool was nice and a great place to hang out. New pool appears to be about 90% complete and will be a nice addition. The weather was great & Magens Bay Beach wonderful as always. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back next year.

“Another great week!”

We have been going to Magen's Point for 8 or 9 years and look forward to another peaceful week each year. The staff and the other guests/owners have become friends and it feels like a reunion when we all get together again. This year there have been many updates with a new store and restaurant/bar on the premises. Our room overlooked Magen's Bay and the new pool and hot tub. The rooms are always clean and comfortable.
I have noticed that several people have commented that this is not a 5 star hotel and that is certainly true - it was never designed to be 5 star. But you cannot beat the responsiveness of the staff and the concern of management for making you feel at home.
I am already looking forward to my next week at Magen's!

Room Tip: All of the rooms have a view of either Magen's Bay or the Mahogany Run Golf Course and the ocean...

“Friendliest Resort in the USVI”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

This is not a 5 star resort but makes up for it in hospitality and friendliness of the staff and customers. Many of the people here are repeat customers who love the VI atmosphere and the absolutely beautiful view of Magens Bay. We have been coming here for fifteen years and others have been coming for thirty years. The resort overlooks the Bay on one side and sits next to Mahogany Run Golf Course on the other side. It has a bar. respectable restaurant and a wonderful coffee shop/convenience store - The Cup and Cork - which makes great coffees, deli items, and has great wines. The resort continues to improve as rooms and public areas are renovated. The rooms are very clean with good maid service. This is a locally owned resort on the quiet side of the island and most things "run on island time." Isn't that why you come to the islands?

“It's USVI”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

Magens Point Resort is one resort I would consider going back to. I've been to the Virgin Islands 4 times now, and love the islands. But, don't think you will be in any 5 star accommodations, minus 2 resorts, a 3.5 or 4 is what you should expect. Magens had everything you need, from a bar, pool, restaurant, beach nearby. Simply understand the VI's are not Mexican all-enclusives, quite the opposite. That said, Magens Point is doing all they can to be professional, accommodating, personal and friendly. Just go, relax, understand "island time" and leave your watch at home. I did.

Room Tip: Just ask for a good view at check in. Don't complain, just nicely ask.

“Affordable - Very Friendly - Clean - Comfortable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

Bedding was clean and smelled clean. Nice towels that appeared new. Keyless entry with card-swipe on our door I don't know about others. I have never slept on a comfortable sofa bed - I found this one to be acceptable. Spectacular views! Plenty of hot water and good water pressure. This is NOT a 5 star hotel - if you want that experience then this is not the place for you. If you want friendly people; a clean and comfortable place to stay within walking distance to a beautiful beach then this IS the place for you. Tom and Lori - managers were wonderful and very helpful. Viola is also extremely personable and helpful. All the staff were friendly. Bar/restaurant was nice - food was good. Live music most nights - also nice! The pool was lovely. They are upgrading things with a new pool and hot tub to be open soon and updated walk-ways. This is just a nice place. We had no problems leaving personal items in the room and also used the safe for extra cash. I would stay here again without hesitation.
