I had to stay one night on St. Thomas before flying home and decided to stay at Villa Olga, because I was told it was not 'high end', but still a nice spot. The first room I checked into had two dead roaches on the bathroom floor so I moved rooms. The second room had a swarm of gnats and a door that was to little for the door frame. There was a two inch gap on the bottom of the door where I imagined that any little creepy crawly could come inside. I went to take a shower, and I started to run the water, a multitude of bugs started crawling up from the drain. The pool looked rundown and honestly needed a good cleaning. The staff was very friendly, but I honestly slept with all the lights on- as I did not want to invite more critters to wander around the room I know that other options on St. Thomas may appear expensive, but trust me- do not stay there.
