We're Marriott owners in Hawaii and routinely trade for this property in January. It has location, beautiful facilities and weather!! But we are definitely noticing the new management that Marriott has handling their timeshares. We've just come to expect the very best of a Marriott stay and while it's still good, and we will still return, it's definitely not the same.
Room - not as clean, fingerprints on doors, bedding not up to their normal standard. Tried to swap out bathroom towels and was told it would cost $25 but we could exchange beach towels. OK Marriot - that means your guests will use the beach towels for bath towels - much larger and fluffier but I think that was not your intent.
Got wrong info from the front desk about times things were open downtown and wasted several hours. Service is not the usual Marriott standard either - maids lounging against the walls. Maintenance starting up vehicles under our windows at 6 am (for a long while). Slow service other places. Happy hour - glasses have shrunk - we did notice. When we asked for a little extra check out time got a firm 'no', in the past they've always tried to accommodate us at least an hour.
But it's still paradise when home is cold and snowy so we'll be back.
