“Exceeded All Expectations!!!!”

We have just returned from the most fabulous vacation at Beaches Turks and Caicos. It all started about 6 months ago when we came into contact with Dream Makers Vacation Services who helped us plan our dream family vacation. They were phenomenal with details and helped us to pick out the exact room category that would best fit our needs, and were extremely successful in doing so. I can not wait to plan another vacation to utilize their professional, courteous, and caring services. Arriving at the resort was flawless. It was a Tuesday early afternoon, so the airport was not very crowded. I would recommend flying in and out on non-weekend days, seems to be a little less hectic. We were picked up at the airport by a SUV owned by Beaches and my husband, our 2 year old son, and I were privately taken to the resort, which is only a quick 10 minutes from the airport. Once we arrived we were greeted with cool towels and a refreshing drink, which was a nice touch. As soon as we walked in one of the Sesame Street characters was in the lobby, which was a true treat for my son to see. We were shown to the suite concierge check in and proceeded from there. We were in a Gov. Suite in the Seaside Villas. The room was ready already (at 1 in the afternoon), and one of the conceirges guided us there. The location for us was perfect, steps from one of the pools, and steps from the beach. We were on the bottom floor, which was perfect for us with a toddler and a stroller. The suite had 2 rooms, a main bedroom, where the bathroom was off of, and the sitting room, which had a trundle type bed and couch, the wet bar (fully stocked), and some tables and chairs. That is the room that we put my son's crib in. They did provide us with a full size wooden crib, and not a pack n play. We enoyed the restaurants on the resort. Most of them had buffets for breakfast, except a few, where you ordered a la carte. We mostly ate at the buffets, which were more than sufficient for us. For lunches there were many options, again buffets at some of the restaurants. There were also beach grill areas by the pool that had delicious jerk chicken and pork. Another one of our favorite lunch spots was Gordans in the Piazza. Some of the most delicious, fresh, wood-grilled pizza I have ever had. We ate there more than once. For dinners we tried as many as we could, our favorite being Mario's. Again, some places had buffets for dinner, but we tried to stay away from those, and eat at places where we could order off of the menus, just our preference. I could not say enough positive things about the staff. Each person you encountered was more friendly than the next, and so willing to help you and accomodate you. Our son became very spoiled and I think it quite bored being back home. I would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation, on a beautiful island, at a terrific resort. It exceede our expectations and we can not wait to go back there. If anyone has any questions or wants to know any more details, please feel free to send me a message, I would be more than willing to answer anything you want. Thank you!

“2nd visit and loved it so much!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 July 2010

My husband, I and our 4 year old daughter returned to Beaches TCI on May 12-19, 2010. Our last visit was May 2009. Obviously we loved it so much that we returned back and we like to venture out to new places, so hopefully that in itself explains how much we love the island/resort.
Airport/Transfers – Painless both times. Tiny little airport and only airport in TCI so the stars like Bruce Willis use it. Beaches is awesome at making your wait minimal once you step outside the airport. It is only about a 10 minute ride to the resort. This is a huge bonus. The beaches in Jamaica are over an hour ride.
Resort Accommodations Breakdown:
Caribbean Village ~ Oldest Section in the Resort
You have the main building which is the lowest priced rooms. I have never been in any of the rooms, but appears most have nice balconies. Excellent location in the resort.. pretty much right in the middle of it all.
The Parrot Cay Suites look nice and back up to the Italian Village where you can quickly get to the Italian pool and Mario’s for breakfast every morning. Also close to the beach.
The Governors Suites are currently our favorite. We stayed in the Italian Village last year and prefer the Governors Suite in The Caribbean Village. We got the 3rd building from the beach and know we would have been even happier in the 1st or 2nd building but still enjoyed our location. The balcony here is the biggest of any room in the entire resort. The room is very spacious and nice, but the balcony won it for us. If you are trying to decide between this suite and one in the Italian Village, the main differences are: The Italian Village is newer and nicer in a “new” kind of way, but the balconies are small and there is a lot of noise with the huge Italian Pool. The rooms do have the X-box station where the CV suites do not. Also, the IV have bunk beds w/ a trundle that can accommodate 3 kids vs. the CV just has a bed w/ trundle to accommodate 2 kids. The CV is just much quieter and quainter. The IV feels to ‘large hotel’ like. That is just my opinion and hopefully I described it so you can decide what is more important to you.
French Village ~ Next newest section
We have never stayed here, but spent a lot of time here this year. In other reviews is seems like people either love it or hate it. It is a very lovely area and has a quieter feel like the Caribbean village suite area. People say it is too removed, but really – it is just the furthest removed from the beach. It is very close to the Water Park and nightly entertainment and has an awesome pool with beautiful columns and zero entrys. The only downfall is I think they start up activities at their pool at 11a, so we would always go right after breakfast and move on by activity time.. Unless that is your thing! I just wish they would keep the activities at the Iguana pool and leave the other pools alone. I think this village would be ideal for those with older kids since it is so close to the water park and the X-Box room and pre-teen/teen activities.
Italian Village ~ Newest section
Wow – they have done an awesome job in this new section. The pool is like nothing I have ever been to. It is huge and has zero entries everywhere. Definitely our favorite pool, but also the busiest. We never had issues with chairs like other reviews, so maybe they are getting better about being so reserve happy. The rooms are beautiful but not overly spacious and again, the balconies are small and not peaceful. In my opinion, this section is overrated. We were so much happier in the suites in the Caribbean Village.
Restaurant Breakdown: *Listed in order of our preference
Le Petit Chateau ~ We went our first year when our 20 year old son was with us and could watch our daughter. This was awesome food! Wish we could have gone back this year.
Mario’s ~ By far our favorite for breakfast. It is a buffet, but they have a little bit of everything and an awesome omelet/egg station. They are also awesome for dinner. They have the best lamb chops.
Schooners ~ Great seafood and nice outside dining close to the ocean.
Barefoot by the Sea ~ Really cool experience to dine in the sand and close to the ocean. Good food and the best deserts! Great place for you 1st night since the sand can become old after you have been there for days.
Kimonos~ Good / Typical Hibachi food. Most all chefs are really fun and upbeat. Fun experience. Make reservations early in your trip.
Arizona’s ~ Our favorite for lunch. Awesome Jerk chicken. It is great when you’re at the beach and ready for lunch because it is just steps up from the beach and you will want a cover up but can sit outside and still not be totally dry. They have a smoothie station here and a kids grill with hamburgers/hotdogs/chicken nuggets/fries/mac and cheese. Nice salad bar inside.. so something for everyone. Very quick grab and eat lunch. We never have had dinner here so I can’t review dinner.
Cricketers ~ We really like it here even though it is low on our list. Awesome Shrimp curry. The patio didn’t seem really shaded, so it is somewhere you will want to eat inside. It was a nice change to mix dinner options up. They also have lots of TV’s for sports for the sport nuts. Really cute atmosphere.
BELLA NAPOLI PIZZERIA ~ Very good pizza. I talked with some East Coast pizza fanatics which they felt like they were going to be disappointed and said they were pleasantly surprised. This is a great quick lunch option. Have someone in your party go order it and then come back in 15 minutes to pick it up. Eat it by the pool, beach or back at your room. Nice option
Bobby D’s ~ Cute environment – Located in the waterpark. We never had lunch or dinner, but a great place for snacks. They have self – serve cookie’s, ice cream and popcorn and drinks in the back.

Sushi Bar ~ According to other reviews that claimed this to be bad sushi, we opted not to try it and noticed there was never very many people here.
SAPODILLA'S ~ Adults only – we didn’t get to go.
Reflections ~ One of our least favorites. We tried breakfast here one morning and it wasn’t bad, but didn’t have near the options of Mario’s and was just so crowded and hard to get our food. We also had lunch here one day and the food was just very average.
Giuseppe’s ~ Didn’t like it at all! It is a shame, because it has an awesome patio over by the French pool and close to the nightly entertainment, but the food here is not just average it is bad. As you can see, most everywhere else has good, great or at least average, but for some reason, this is just not good food at all.
We have been on many excursions where you are funneled into a van with a drive to a boat with 10 or more other people and those are ok.. just ok. But we went out with Captain Kwee on a private boat tour and loved it! We made it totally customized to what we wanted. We went 3 islands and had the most awesome time. Captain Kwee is a native TCI and has been a captain for 13 years. He has taken out heavy hitters like Bruce Willis and Michael Douglas. There is a time of the year where he will dive for lobster for you and then cooks it up for you on the beach. We want to do that next time. I don’t think his boat had his company name on it and he pulled right up to the Beaches Resort beach and we jumped in and took off. It is roughly $200/hour, but you see 2-3 times as much as you would on a regular excursion. His contact info: 649-946-5778 or 649-346-2501.e-mail at provosandseatours@tciway.tc

Weddings ~ Beautiful settings for weddings, but it seemed like many of them were so close to walking paths where people were constantly walking by with loud kids and whatever. If you are booking a wedding and don't have children attending, I would totally book somewhere like Sandals St. Lucia. But again, they looked beautiful and the receptions were so pretty with the new Martha Stewart deco. Just be prepared for lots of passer byers!

“Stay off the Beaches”

Great rooms in Italian village. Food at 3 of the restsraunts was good. Hard to get into those three restsraunts. Carribean village needs updating and smells like old frat house. Beautiful views and beach but stay off of the beaches at night. Had a purse stolen off if a chair. I reported crime and security guard explained how items vanish as well as people... What ??? Yes... he said people have gone missing off beach. The beach was "public" and not part of Beaches so they can't control who is on beach . Night beach walkers beware!

This resort was absolutely stunning! Words can not even describe how beautiful Beaches Turks and Caicos is. I went with a lot of families and we had a great time. The food was great along with excellent service. The rooms were beautiful and had a great view of the beach. The beach is so nice and the water is clear as can be. The people there were all extremely nice and helped us with anything we needed. They knew how to make our experience enjoyable and fun. We were occupied all day long with plenty of fun filled activities. At night we hung out all around the resort and even did some karaoke at Cricketers. I would DEFINITELY recommend this resort to anyone because it is just a fantastic place to be. I have been here twice and those were by far the best vacations i have ever been on! There's nothing more to ask for in life then to go to Beaches Turks and Caicos, so you should go! I can't wait to go back! See you there!

“Great family vacation...fun and sun!”

My family and I had a suite in the Italian Village. The room was well laid out and clean. We had an ocean front room and that's exactly what it was. The Caribbean Village is dated and I wouldn't recommend it. The French Village has a wonderful pool but I never looked at the rooms. The pool and outside common area in the Italian Village are extremely well kept and clean. The layout of the resort is well planned. Everything is a close walk. The water park has everything for families with children from 2 years old to teenagers. The slides and lazy river are great and the wake pool is tons of fun. My children who are ages 9, 7 and 4 never got bored in the seven days we stayed. I also took a fishing excursion with my 2 sons on Silver Deep Charters. We caught fish from the moment we dropped our lines in the water and had the resort cook them up for us after I signed a release form. The service is above par and the entire staff are friendly. The assortment of restaurants are plentiful. I just wish they had a more upscale restaurant that you can bring children to. We enjoyed ourselves so much that I pre-booked for next year.
