Yea i stayed @ the comfort suites the first week of Jan 12'.I had a room on the 2nd floor.the staff was friendly and attentive!Room cleaning was good!It is a short walk from Grace beach on provo.some shops/cafes nearby.very good exp grocery across the street.had free internet and a bar near the pool.the room is ok but needs improvement!the bed was good thou! it was noisy from the tourist coming in early in the a.m. since a bar is across the parking lot.did not get enough hot water esp in the a.m.the ac in the room seemed to go off/on so i turned it off!also the sm fridge would not shut off and i could not sleep so i also unplugged it! no food here just a small continental breakfast!would definitely come back to provo but do research and maybe pay more for a room-elsewhere?Since the food is so exp there it could be cheaper to stay at a resort and eat there?

“small boutique hotel”

This was my fourth times in turks and caicos,so when I was looking for something cheap this time I found the comfort suites.I loved the way they fix the place, everything is new and clean and the staff was very friendly.I knew that the hotel was not beach front but who cares is only a 6 minutes walk and for the price was wort it, another good thing is the gourmet supermarket IGA is across the street, thats where we got our lunch every day we also travel with a colapsible cooler so we carried our drinks to the beach, very convenient. Turks and caicos has the most beautiful beaches so if you dont want to spend to much money stay at the Comfort suites port of call if you want something with a kitchen check the Sands or Coral gardens

“Nice rooms!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

We had a nice room with a queen bed, couch, table and chairs, tv (which was in a weird spot), fridge and safe. Spacious. Pool was nice and never busy except when the scuba divers were training. No restaurant on site unfortunately! Bar was more like a drinks station all pre-mixed. In a good location and reasonable rates. Clean and comfy. Staff we had were helpful. WARNING - sand fleas on any beach are awful, worse than mosquito bites, take bug spray.

“Basic satisfactory hotel - convenient location, not much help/info from staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

This was a basic hotel that was satisfactory for us, since we planned to get out around the islands anyway, and not spend much time at our hotel. Location is good; 3 minutes walk to great beach and several restaurants in walking-distance, plus very nice supermarket just across street. Continental breakfast good. Pool was fine for us, and the hot tub welcome after dark. Watson, the bartender, very nice guy. The room was good value for TCI.
Only dislike was that the front desk people were not much help with providing info about tours/attractions/transport/etc when asked, but hey, guess I can't expect even a pseudo-concierge in this price range. The car rental they supposedly arranged never showed up, amounting to a lost hour. So just plan on making all your own arrangements.
Upstairs Grill nearby in Ports-of-Call Plaza is a good restaurant.
You can purchase local artwork, mostly Haitian-inspired, at the crafts stalls just a five minute walk down the road past the supermarket.

Room Tip: Pool view room would be best, but not sure if those are pricier. Rooms toward the front of hotel (a...

“Exceptional for the Price!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

I loved this hotel. And I felt like it loved me back.

If you want to visit Turks and Caicos, but can't afford a place on the beach, stay here! In fact, I was so happy at the Comfort Suites, I never felt jealous of anyone who *was* staying on the beach considering they were likely to be spending two, three, four, or ten times as much as we were spending here.

ROOM - #308. I believe it might be one of the best rooms at the hotel. Renovated, great view, balcony. Comfortable bed, clean. Loved it. We booked online in advance (i.e. no refund) for $200/night.

STAFF - helpful and completely friendly. They make dinner/excursion, etc. reservations for you, no addt'l charge. Take advantage!

LOCATION - excellent. You can walk to the beach, coffee shop, lots of restaurants, shops, a fabulous grocery market (see pics). The walk to the beach is about a 6 minute walk. Anyone who complains about it is forgetting the fact that they're in TURKS and CAICOS and that they just spent a mere $200 a night to visit one of the world's most beautiful beaches - Grace Bay Beach. Not to mention, if you're really on a budget, you can hit the grocery store before you go and get some sandwiches, etc. You'll begin to appreciate that ability when you realize entrees at the restaurants on the beach are around $30-$40. Yikes!

BEACH - stunning! Check out my pictures. They will speak a thousand more words than I can write. Also, you won't have anyone coming around harassing you on the beach. It's an incredibly calm place. There is *one* guy who would come by everrrry now and again asking if you'd like to go parasailing. We actually took him up on the offer eventually, and it was worth every penny (more later...). The only issue we had at the beach is the lack of shade. It's true (if you've read other reviews) that there are only 3 little "huts", so you have to claim your space EARLY or suck it up and wear a lot of sunscreen.

HOTEL BAR - One thing we absolutely loved about the hotel was the drinks. Yes, they come in a small, plastic cup, but they are $4.50 and half-filled with alcohol. You will easily pay $13 for a drink on the beach, but the Rum Punch at the hotel was actually incredibly good (in fact, better than any other drink I had in T&C). Sipping it by the pool at the end of the day (under a blanket, looking up at the stars) is really a slice of heaven. (P.S. there is a huge, comfy blanket in your room, in the closet. Use it by the pool at night if it gets cool).

THINGS TO DO - We were only here for 4 nights and wanted to take it easy. We did only two excursions, and they were both *fantastic* and worth every penny. We did a Glow Worm tour with Silver Deep (they're on TripAdvisor), and despite a number of negative reviews (which I can only attribute to pure whining and general ingratitude), the trip was incredible. You are watching little creatures GLOWING in the water. It's amazing. Not to mention, they turn all of the lights off on the boat (this *after* you witness a spectacular sunset), and you can gaze up at the MILKY WAY for about 20 minutes. Incredible. So they serve Ritz crackers and bad pizza. Eat before you go!

For the parasailing trip, we went with the guy on the beach (unfortunately, I don't know the company's name, or even if it IS a company), but they were excellent. I had gone 3 times before elsewhere, and this was the best. We were several hundred feet up - the highest I've ever been, and we were up for a solid 15 minutes - the longest I've ever been. Do it!

Walking along the beach at night is SO much fun. Fun in the sense that you get to walk around all of the really super fancy resorts (they are wide open, you can totally go to their beach bars and restaurants).

BREAKFAST - limited, but it worked. I had some wheat toast, cheerios and a small pastry every morning, and it kept me full until afternoon. It's included, so what's to complain about? A breakfast joint and a bakery is a 2 minute walk. And that grocery store is close by, too. It's not a make or break situation.

BOTTOM LINE - this hotel is lovely. We are from NYC, so flew directly JFK - PLS (3 hrs), got a taxi from the airport to our hotel (20 mins), easy peasy. Everything about this trip was so "easy" and lovely. Providenciales is a fantastic island, a great alternative to overly-commercial and crowded parts of the Caribbean; this is not a "spring break" destination. Generally T&C is totally out of my price range, but the Comfort Suites makes it possible, and for that alone I love this place. I would absolutely stay here again.

Room Tip: We stayed on the 3rd floor and had a balcony in the renovated part of the hotel. It was great. Room...
