“Paradise on a budget”

The CPI was an affordable way for my husband and I to spend 6 nights on an otherwise expensive island with the most beautiful beach either of us have ever seen. For the money, the CPI was a great choice, however there are a few things worth mentioning that I wish I'd known in advance:
-If, like me, you book a 2nd floor room with visions of falling asleep to the sound of palm trees swaying with the balcony door open... you will be disappointed. The sliding balcony doors do not have any screens, which to me is something that should be a given and seems like something they skimped on. There are just too many mosquitos to fall asleep with the doors open. I know, because we tried, and I spent a sleepless night swatting at bugs buzzing in my ears. Also, a couple nights were loud, with a distant hotel blaring its music so loudly that we had to shut the doors and windows. So in that sense, not sure the extra money was worth a 2nd floor room, although they definitely are more private than the first floor.
-The in-room safe is TINY. You can cram wallets and passports and jewelry in it but a laptop will definitely not fit.
-While the in-room fridge is spacious enough, it doesn't keep certain foods very well. Milk and fruit won't last more than 2 days. It's great for wine, beer and water though.

These are really our only complaints. The place was a great value, clean, had a comfortable (but squeaky!) bed, with friendly and helpful staff. The location is fantastic - easy walking distance to the following restaurants: Coyoba, Coco Bistro, anything at Grace Bay Club and Seven Stars. More importantly, a quick walk to hands down the best stretch of beach anywhere along Grace Bay. And we know, because we either walked or drove to the other parts. The money we saved on accommodations allowed us to treat ourselves to eating out (Coyoba and Coco Bistro are a must!) and going on excursions (highly recommend renting a car for a day to go snorkeling at Smith and Bight reefs and going to Sapodilla Bay to watch the sunset). We would go back in a second.

Great place to stay! The staff is very friendly, extremely helpful and Jean Luc adds a nice French touch. Best deal on the island if you are not looking for an all inclusive resort, steps to the beach and tasty restaurants, very clean room, and good breakfast.

“Charming and great value!”

My wife and I just returned from 9 days on Provo and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Paradise Inn is not directly on the beach but that wasn't important to us, as a quick five minute walk to Grace Bay was easy and we actually enjoyed taking the rental car over to Taylor Bay Beach instead, as it was much more secluded and less populated on that side of the island. Provo is also expensive and we wanted to spend more on activities and food than accommodations, so CPI turned out to be just right for us. It is a smaller two story inn with a small pool, A/C, comfortable king beds, tile floors, shower (no tub), cable TV, optional breakfast, a bar / lounge and a very pleasant staff. The rooms are not huge, but are also not too small and are made up daily - very well kept property and clean rooms. Wi-fi and computer use are available for a fee. Probably the most enjoyable part of our stay with CPI was the staff - Wen at the front desk helped us rent a car before we even got there (her recommendation based on availability of smaller cars) and helped us with dinner reservations for the week as well. Jean Luc, the owner, was also super pleasant (always a "hi" and "how are you doing") and helped us locate the coffee roaster we wanted to visit for a tour. They have director type beach chairs and beach towels available at the front desk, which we took with us to Taylor Bay and were glad to have. CPI is also right next door to the restaurant we had our best (although quite expensive) meal at - Coyaba. If your room is near the restaurant though you can hear the crowd there even with the deck doors closed, so if you are a light sleeper ear plugs are recommended. Not a big deal for us, but something we noticed.

Overall, a very pleasant stay that was made better by a really friendly proprietor and his team. If luxurious is what you are looking for then I would consider other alternatives, but this was exactly what we were looking for - good value for our money, clean, comfortable, safe (courtyard parking, locked fenced entrance, close to activities, shops, and restaurants, and basically a nice place to sleep and serve as a base for our adventures elsewhere around the island.

Room Tip: We stayed on the ground floor, which as a little less expensive. If returning I would choose a top...

“Fantastic small family owned hotel in TCI-great value!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

The Caribbean Paradise Inn is a small nice family owned hotel located only 5 min walk away from the beautiful Grace Bay beach and all the fancy expensive resorts. It will provide you with a stay of great value and you will get to experience an extremely friendly and personalized service, lovely and clean rooms in this welcoming and friendly establishment.

“Amazing Hotel and Staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

Our experience there was amazing. It is the island's best kept secret. It is conveniently located to shopping, beaches, casinos, great dining, and a fun night life. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. They offer an optional breakfast which is prepared at the time and place that is convenient for you - I would definitely recommend that option. Wen was so helpful in helping us with our car rental, making arrangements for daily activities and help getting around the island. Jean Luc and Mario were the best hosts in the world. The lobby bar was the best nightlife on the island. Even after we left for our conference at another hotel, we had to return to visit our "extended" family. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and I would definitely stay there again if I have the chance to return to Provo.
