The island is a lovely, low key place to unwind with excellent scuba diving and or snorkeling sites. Of course you have to realize that the economic disparity between the locals and the tourists is a reality and not feel uncomfortable about it. That said the Grace Bay Club is a high end, luxury retreat with prices to match. Not as high as the Aman properties but close. The inital room we were take to, a "villa suite" was dark, small, not much larger than one you would get at a Holiday Inn although the bathroom was spacious with two sinks, a jetted tub and separate shower and toilet area. NOT a suite by any stretch of the imagination. I was not pleased. The next day we were upgraded to a second floor one bedroom suite. Perfect! Spacious, bright, huge balcony full kitchen, living room great room style. A pleasure to be sure. The entire property is clean, excellent care is taken with the grounds and accommodations. There are three restaurants and two bars. All have good food, well prepared. I loved the red snapper and slaw at Krave. Other restaurants are in the area. The beach is gorgeous, fine white sand, big umbrellas and great towels. Two pools, one for adults only. The hotel shop has the best assortment of beachie clothes both in quality and style that I found in Grace Bay; but overpriced. Grace Bay Club is a romantic place for honeymooners and a great place for a winter getaway.
