“Idyllic location and sublime meals with relaxing beachfront rooms”

We had a wonderful three days at Blue Waters Inn. The people were all friendly and helpful, and our rooms were amazingly comfortable. They are equipped with A/C but we chose to use the ceiling fan except when we were sleeping. The rooms front on the beach, so a few steps down and you could be in the ocean. We ate most meals at the hotel's Shipwreck Bar, because we're honestly not three-course-meal people, but the three-course dinner we had was excellent. I highly recommend the kingfish kebabs, and I'm not even a huge fan of seafood! I can't speak highly enough of the facility. Our only issue was with the bathroom. We had to request washcloths, and the first night we didn't have hot water, but a quick adjustment by the staff, and we had all the hot water we could want the next day. :)

“Perfect location”

Blue Waters Inn gave us one week of really excellent accommodation. Our room was a deluxe a/c room, with huge bed, lovely shower room, table and chairs, a newly equipped kitchen which included American sized fridge/freezer. We enjoyed some lovely meals here too and if we went out on an early birdwatching trip an excellent packed breakfast was provided. Tea and coffee is available free all day but the water could do with being hotter. The views are just great and the beach is kept really clean and never busy during our stay. Sunbeds and chairs are provided free. Kayaks are available for use free of charge. There is a dive school on site. A newly installed infinity swimming pool which always seemed empty during our week there! Humming birds make use of the feeders outside the rooms and lots of other birds can be spotted on the on-site wildlife trails. The staff were all very helpful.

“Great spot on beautiful Tobago”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 January 2012

Tobago is paradise and the blue waters inn is at a perfect spot for a quiet vacation. Since the hotel is 1.5 hours from the capital of Scarborough it is not for action seekers but a perfect spot for people that want to enjoy the beach, trips to little Tobago or the nearby quaint villages as Charlottesville or Speyside. The pool from the hotel is very nice ( always a smilling Erica to have a nice chat or special kids proof sandwitches) and the rooms just 5 steps from the beach. Breakfast is perfect with a nice choice in local or western dishes.
One recommendation: more entertainment in the hotel during evenings.

“Fantastic views and and bird watching at this fully refurbished hotel”

Very much worth the trip to the North of Tobago to this small and friendly, fully refurbished hotel.
Great views across the bay to little Tobago where you can take a bird watching trip. Lots of Humming birds feeding on feeders outside each room. Great snorkelling trips available.

Food is good although a limited menu. Staff very friendly

Very quiet hotel for those looking to relax in a natural setting.

“Thanskgiving Day in Paradise!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 December 2011

We felt so lucky finding the Blue Waters Inn on Thanksgiving Day and having the opportunity to spend our last 3 days at this beautiful resort......

In a spur of the moment, decided to spend Thanksgiving week in Tobago. We arranged the trip through a dive shop in the area where we live. Will never do that again - stayed at the Manta Lodge which was a disaster - more on that in the review I'll post on their TA site.

Thanksgiving day we walked to Blue Waters Inn and fell in love! The location, restaurant, facilities and service are beautiful and couldn't believe the disparity between the 2 resorts. Especially after we requested to view a room and realized that the accomodations were half the price of Manta Lodge! At first it looked like they couldn't find a room but we received our Thanksgiving and actually stayed in a room that was just finished in their recent renovations (first guests to stay in our room facing the sea -aaahhhh)!

The resort is in a great location, hidden in a reef that is stunning and private. The restaurant was good and service was excellent. As mentioned Blue Waters is completing a renovation and the new rooms/resort facilities are beautiful. They are adding an infinity pool which looks out at the sea (should be completed any day). I also spent a few days diving with shop on the premises - they were great and took us on a couple of stunning dives.

So, lesson learned on this trip: book yourself, read reviews and know what you are paying for.... Will definitely be staying at Blue Waters again!!
