“A place to relax that is worth spending in privacy”

Sanctuary Villa Resort is worth spending time with your partner and relaxing in privacy. It must be noted the customer service was excellent from planning the trip, laising with the Manager Marilyn Jordon, even the security guard Marvin did his duty in a professional manner. We stayed ar Nirvana Villa and what is really nice about Sanctuary Villa each villa has a swimming pool with total privacy. We had a great time. If you're thinking about somewhere to stay no need to have second thoughts just contact Marilyn and I'm sure you will have a ball.

“not what I expected”

I had been planning a trip to tobago for months after reading all the reviews or various hotels I decided to book Sanctuary, When i arrived there, I was so very disappointed. First off the resort is in incomplete. The road to the main office is a gravel covered road, the main office building is just a big eyesore, and there is no parking lot in front of the office just very muddy, grass covered area ,a huge incomplete abandon looking space. there was garbage disposed right in front the "office". I was immediately upset by this, after all the phone conversations from them telling me how lovely it was. After meeting reception I was given the keys an pointed in the direction of our room (Clair Martin), no one accompanied us. When i got to the Clair Martin Room it was a nice cozy room, clean however the pathway leading to it looked very unsafe and because it was down a floor the porch did not seem safe either. Further to my dismay the porch was not cleaned and the patio furniture was old an dirty (even tho this room was booked in advacne and they knew we were coming) I was not comfortable since I did not come to tobago to stay in a room. The advertised Jacuzzi is not that spectacular. After speaking with the resort manager I was told there was another villa available but at a small additional costs. I opted to see this before making my decision. The villa was called Boomerang villa and it was so much nicer and cleaner. I was already there and paid in full so I accept the Boomerang villa. It ws a spacious 3 bedroom villa nice plunge pool, patio an all amenities. The ac did not work and pool ws not cleaned but it all got sorted out by the evening (it was ok because we were not expected to stay here so i understood). After that my 4 day vacation seemed to pick up spending most of our time out by the pool an although my view was another abandon bulilding, a real eyesore again, we had a nice time. I would say only thanks to the Boomerang villa for saving the day. I dont think I would visit there again since it was also kind of far from the main beach areas store bay and pigeon point. All and all I was really disappointed and had no other choice but to make my vacation fun. We never saw the manager again after that, the house keeper came once, pool guy came twice and when we were leaving nobody came and checked the room, we were instructed over the phone by the office manager to give the keys to the security at front, who by the way I was not sure was even qualified security guards, since they were not wearing any uniforms or have any indication of being security except that they were in the booth. Also no cell service with the local Bmobile network. Please think long and hard before you go here and If you do stay at the boomerang villa.

“I stay here all the time, wouldnt have it any other way!”

I'll give you as clear a description as I can - I have stayed here about 4 and looking to be 5 times and I love it. Its not within walking distance of the beach and has a shady road to get to it, but it is well nestled away from other places... its a very quiet and romantic place and very much a place to go with a nice group of ppl and have a nice time. The villas are lovely, esp the larges white ones on the hill...they were fabulous! i also like villa honey bee for the 3 bedrooms... I'd say ask for the more modern villas because some of them need updating. In the years that I have visited u can see a lack of funding/maintenance has affected the villas, but they still r my favourite:) The 3-bedrm villas have a small pool and bbq area, and the villa is very lovely inside....there's also some places nearby (a walk up and down the hills tho!) where u can have some pizza, ice cream and play some pool......

“Loved Sanctuary Villa Resort”

My family and I stayed at Villa Nirvana, Sanctuary Villa Resort for 5 days. Overall the accomodation was outstanding ... clean, well maintained, all required comforts. The housekeeping service was prompt. Of particular mention is the surrounding grounds which is large, well maintained and gives the impression of being in one's own little piece of paradise. Sunset views are beautiful from this Villa. The private plunge pool is also very convenient. Two minor things could be done to enhance an already great place: pave the little piece of road to Villa Nirvana, install some compound lights.

Thank you for a great vacation!

  • Liked — Location, amenities, landscaped surroundings!
  • Disliked — Limited compound lights (driving in for the first time at night could be somewhat trying)

“Loved it!!!”

6 of us stayed in the Honey Bee sweet. The place was very nice. Very modern. The furniture was great. Everything worked perfect. 4 washrooms. A/C with remote. TV with a good amount of channels. A mini-pool in the backyard. Full kitchen. Washer and dryer. BBQ.

Everything is within driving distance. You will not need to drive more than 10 min for anything.

The maid service was top notch. she cleaned out place for at least 3 hours a day. She did the dishes, mopped the floor, did the beds... everything.

The only thing that bothered me a bit was that it was a pretty long walk to the beach, so we had to drive. But we were in a gated community with a security guard present at all times.

  • Liked — Clean and modern
  • Disliked — distance from beach
