“Great Value for Money”

My family are regular users of Sanctuary Villas, I personally have stayed there three times, the most recent for my wedding trip. I have stayed in the Rumagin and Sugarbird villas, both are extremely spacious, with good facilities. I would say that villas could benefit from some cosmetic work, some new kitchen appliances and bathroom facilities. Private pools, bbq patios are a great alternative to crowded beach resorts. Only other complaint is that one family in our wedding party were told days before they arrived that their jacuzzi/plunge pool was not working, and that they would need to pay an extra $US100 per night if they wanted to change rooms. Would recommend renting a car if you are staying here, as restaurants, grocery stores, and better beaches are all spread out and up to 15 min away. Great for a family vacation, we will see Sanctuary villas again soon.

“Very Good Value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2006

My wife and I rented Villa #1, a 3 bedroom/4 bath and since there were only 2 of us we paid the 1 bedroom rate, not the 3 bedroom rate.
The plunge pool was delightful, far larger than the one we had on St. Lucia at the Jaluosie. We lived on the deck and cooked on the grill
The kitchen had all appliances that worked well, cable TV, and no high speed internet access, but there are plenty of 'cafes' around charging only $2.25US/hr.
The queen size bed was comfortable, bathroom clean with ample hot water, A/C in bedrooms, not common areas but ceilling fnas were quite adequate.
The villa in general was a bit worn, aging but for a week was wonderful. If it were mine I would do some painting and put in some new appliances, clean and/or replace cushions; purely cosmetic though.
The beach right down the street at Black Rock/Grafton is one of the nicest on the island and uncrowded.
We visited Plantation Beach Villas and Stonehaven Villas and if we were splitting the villa with 1-2 other couples I'd go to one of them in a second.
However for the $195/night I'd stay at Sanctuary again, can't beat the value.

“Disappointed at The Sanctuary Villa management”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 December 2005

My husband and I expected to stay at The Sanctuary Villa, Clair Matin but due to "ongoing problems" with the refrigerator we were moved the the Honey Bee villa, after unpacking and a long day of travel. We planned on staying at The Sanctuary Villa resort for 14 nights which we payed in full upon our arrival. After 9 days, 5 with NO running water we decided to change our accommodations when we were informed by the management there was still no water. They suggested we bathe in the pool since it was heated. However, when we were told the maid was washing our dishes and cleaning with the same pool water management suggested we bathe in. No amount of explanation could make us stay. There was NO compensation given from this dreadful resort.
