“A Hotel of tremendous potential”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

Greetings. In the month of October 2011 I stayed with my family for three days at Mt Irvine Bay Hotel. At the time we stayed which was a weekend ( Friday to Monday) the Hotel's occupancy was at it's lowest. In point of fact I believe that we were the only Guest up to the Sunday when we were joined by a couple. Notwithstanding we felt that the Hotel had all the potential to be a 4Star Hotel if properly maintained., e.g Pool Bar, Grounds etc, etc. However, what was very impressive and which stood out was the courtesy of the staff and the meals which were superb at all times. I believe that the Hotel should embark on a marketing drive to improve their occupancy capacity. I would like to compliment the Staff for a showing of excellence and my family and I look forward to returning in the new year 2012. God bless

Our trip to Mt Irvine bay Hotel was the highlight of our August vacation. It all began with the very pleasant and helpful Simone. The place was peaceful and clean with a great pool that the kids ( 12 and 16 ) didn't want to leave. Breakfast was amazing our complements to the chef. Staff members were always polite and ready to assist you anywhere on the compound. As a family we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We have been recommending all our family and friends to visit and enjoy the peace, the view and of course the wonderful breakfast.
We will be back soon

“Peaceful & Refreshing Place”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 August 2011

My girls and I stayed at Mt. Irvine Hotel twice; once for Cross Country held at the hotel and the other time for Falcon Games held in the Dwight Yorke Stadium. We came back to this hotel after our fiasco at Tropikist Hotel (the worst). They are somewhat high priced; but the rooms are big, clean and the staff very friendly. The grounds are well tended, there was some renovations at the time of our stay but this was not too bad. The girls enjoyed the pool and my youngest daughter had the benefit/luxury of practicing familiarizing herself on the Golf Course beforehand.

A nice Hotel.

“Wonderful Stay at Mount Irvine Bay Hotel.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 August 2011

My family and I with children ages (8 and 9) respectively, stayed at this hotel from 16th August, - 19th August, 2011. Upon arrival at the hotel we were greeted with complimentary fruit punch. Check in was a breeze and we were escorted to our room (rm. 46) which had a breathtaking view of the pool and sea. Roxanne and Shinell was quite helpful in ensuring that our stay was pleasant and comfortable. We had no refridgerator in our room and one was promptly sent to our room at no additional cost. Breakfast at the Sugat Mill Restaurant was amazing the staff was very kind and helpful, and the food tasted great! the pool was AMAZING!!!! my kids did not wanted to leave the pool or the hotel, one thing to bear in mind the pool starts at 3ft then ends at 10ft. there's no lifeguards on the property so extra care must be given when in the pool with children
If you are looking for peace and quiet, rest and relaxation, then I would definitely recommend this hotel. Again, much thanks to Roxanne and Shinell and the rest of staff for making my vacation an enjoyable one and we would definitely be back!!! Ken & Jen.

“Best hotel for rest & relaxation.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 April 2011

My spouse and I spent 7 days at Mt. Irvine in March 2011. We wanted a quiet, relaxing hotel with enough privacy so we can unwind from the hectic pace of life. We were very pleased with Mr. Irvin. The hotel staff were extremely courteous particularly Ms. Peterken. The General Manager also warmly welcomed us and we were at home with everyone, including the cleaners. The restaurant meals were of top quality and the service was excellent.

While we were there the hotel was not very occupied but even though this is so, everything is in place to welcome their full potential of guests in their 105 room hotel. The surroundings are well maintained, and we took walks in their gardens with well manicured lawns and foot-paths.

Maybe, not everyone will like Mr. Irvin since it is more of an antique type hotel, but we loved it since it served our purpose - great location, breath-taking views, friendly staff and service, 24 hour security, short walk to the beach, which by the way provides a beach bar, restaurant, changing rooms and towels, etc.

The hotel also has cabanas, with mini kitchenettes.

If you are looking for rest, relaxation as well as your privacy, this hotel is the best. I did not give it 5 stars because at the time of our stay we were only able to access internet services from the lobby. However, we were assured that this service will soon be available in all rooms. Also, the room we stayed in did not have a refrigerator or a microwave. This too, we were told will soon be outfitted in some of the rooms. However, the Cabanas have small refrigerators and hot water kettles.

Although there was no refrigerator, we returned to our room and met ice that was placed by the cleaning lady. The purpose of the trip was to celebrate our wedding anniversary and the hotel got note of this and sent us a complimentary basket of fruits as well as a bottle of wine.

Can't wait to go back. This is definitely our rest and relaxation stop.
