I think the room we got was one that they had completely neglected for some years, because there was so much dust everywhere and even dead insects lying around. We were sorely disappointed by the state of the apartment. Nothing could convince me that this place is a resort. It is far from any beach, attraction or anything. I actually got sick because of all the dust! Needless to say, we checked out after just one night.

I recently stayed at the Blue Horizon Resort in Mt Irvine, Tobago with my husband, three kids, my sister and a couple of friends with their kids. My friends had no transport, but I arranged with the resort for pick up which they did quite efficiently.

Check in was smooth. The rooms were clean but the maid service was a little delinquent on two occasions, as she failed to change towels on one, and change linens on the other.

The pool was clean and nice and they rent you cars at a great price, and they also arrange tours. We enjoyed the view from our balcony, as we could see the nylon pool (outlined in the sea), the golf course and seeing the sun setting was absolutely beautiful. Their grounds are well kept with greenery.

Our family is already planning to stay there again next year.

I stayed at the Blue Horizon Resort from August 7th-14th 2005 with an environmental club group here in Barbados. We found the accommodations to be satisfactory and it suited our needs. I would recommend it to anyone travelling on business and needs some place economical to stay. Rooms are clean, equipped with kitchens with refrigerators etc. Rooms are air conditioned and cable-tv ready. It’s about 20 minutes drive from the Crown Point International Airport. It has a pool which is very clean and tidy. The overall experience was good.
