Upon arriving at the guesthouse we were cheerfully greeted by Carissa (manager) and Joanne (hostess and chef) we immediately felt at home. The room was very clean and spacious, the food delicious, the service second to none. The guest house is located in a beautiful country setting, a lot of greenery interspersed with beautiful houses, approximately 10 minutes drive from downtown Port of Spain. At a cost of $40US/day/person we had 2 meals/day very nicely prepared and served. The guesthouse is under esthetic upgrades when completed it will be able to compete with any 5 star hotel..It is a perfect home away from home, very secure. We liked the fact that we did not have to give a credit card number or even a down payment before we got there, we paid cash at checkout time.

We certainly plan to stay at Shalom Guesthouse whenever we visit Trinidad again and we plan to take our family with us.

“A True Blessing”

We were truly treated like royalty. We have traveled the world abroad, and have never seen this much care and consideration go into our stay. The meals were wonderful and never disappointed. The rooms were quiet, comfortable, and cool. Every ammenity we needed for our travels was present here.
The hosts are hospitable, warm, kind, caring, and are great to talk with. Online set up and confirmaiton was easy and hassel free.
I recommend this Christian guesthouse 100% for those visiting Trinidad.
