My husband and I spent 10 days at the Carriacou Grand View. The owner Shirley and her staff, Zita, Loriann, and Rona were very gracious and helpful. They became almost like family, and it was a sad parting. We had an clean apartment on the top floor with a large balcony. We had a fantastic view of the houses on the hills and of the sea. There is a rather steep hill up to the hotel. We would walk down to the town and take a bus or taxi back. LOL We were at the Grand View over Valentine's Day. Shirley put on a celebration with a great buffet and music. Shirley also cooked us some great meals for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, upon request. She has a flare for making the food very decorative. There is a nice swimming pool, which we made good use of. It is the only swimming pool that we know of on the island. Zita and Loriann were very pleasant and helpful and seemed to enjoy their jobs. It would have been nice to have a coffee machine and toaster in the apartment. Also some lamps for reading. There is no laundry service at the hotel, but we did arrange to have it done in the town. We would definitely stay at the Grand View again. Carriacou is a lovely island. Very friendly people. Ask Shirley to make her specialty drink, a '' JCB" cocktail :)

A family of 6 including a young baby stopped here for 10 days during October after arriving at another hotel and disliking it due to cleanliness therefore transfering to the grand view the same night. After arriving late from the other hotel the owner went out of her way to make us some food and make sure we was all settled in our rooms.

All the staff was friendly, made you feel welcome and would go out of their way to help.

The rooms where cleaned daily, and kept in good condition. We had an apartment, double and single rooms between us and loved them all. They all had there own balconys and the view from the apartment was breath-taking.

We loved the pool, and was in it every morning before going to the beach or visiting. The hotel is a 15 minute walk downhill to the town of hillsborough but regular buses run down past the hotel anyways.

With having family in Carriacou we will be returning in the future and will definatly stay here again, and we would recommend to anyone wanting a nice, clean, relaxing holiday.

This is a perfect hotel if you want a relaxing break sunbathing and reading by the pool. Not only are the views fantastic but it has all mod cons - air-conditioning, TV and of course the pool. Hotel is very clean, staff are friendly, especially Zita and the chef, food and drinks very reasonable. Eating breakfast in the gazebo by the pool was heavenly. We had the place to ourselves apart for a couple of nights when the Governor General of Grenada stayed to open the Carriacou regatta. We had the apartment which had its own fridge and cooker. All in all a great little place.

What a gem. Shirley and Earl made us feel right at home. Clean, comfortable and wonderful staff. Kids loved the pool after a long day at the beach.
\had breakfast by the pool every morning. The only word I can think of to describe the Grand View is "lovely".
Shirley, Earl, Zita and Loriann could not have been more helpful. They even charged our electronics for us every evening.
Can't wait to return.
