We chose the Caribbee Inn because there had been some good write-ups in the past. However Hurrican Emily descended on Carriacou in July 2005 and The Inn was very badly hit. However we were not advised until October and we had already paid a deposit. The Coopers were as helpful as they could be in advance and renovated a villa for us which was very nice with stunning views.
HOWEVER, there are absolutely NO facilities at the Inn, which before had boasted a lovely Restaurant. You had to get your own milk, two teabags were provided and there was a fridge. Maid service was twice a week! For this we were charged US$200 per room per night!!!! Absolute rip off and they should be more honest and close down. Mr Cooper is a very nice gentleman but was so devastated after the damage he has given up.
We ate at The Green Roof and wished we had stayed there, it was lovely. However I have heard Bogles Round House Hotel is the best but it was closed while we were there. Hope this is helpful for other travellers
