We had contacted the owner Ceila Hadway months before we were due to visit the island and had conformed in way of a deposit for a appartment. we were visiting with our two children and had liked the reviews in regards to this accomodation.

A few weeks before we were due to arrive in St vincent, I had a email from Ms Hadway who also owns a private villa on the island that is also for rent. The email stated she had rented the entire property to the university for medical students. But after discussions it was ok for us to proceed with our booking. After a bumpy ride we were relieved we could go ahead then and exchanged many other emails later 4 days before we are due to fly out , Celia then gives us a reassurance if the Harmony suite new renters cannot accomodate us she will give us her villa. The university who are renting the place from Ms Hadway offered us accomodation we couldn't find on trip advisor and then we remind them Ms hadway had said we had choices suitable to our needs as it is our holiday we had paid for it. After tooing and frowing the university persuades us that there choice of accomodation is adequate as trainee doctors stay there when in St vincent. (may i remind you we are holiday makers we paid for our holiday we chose our accomodation for us) Ms Hadway speedily removes her open offer of the villa as she now states it is rented out, even though she had said she would leave it available until we were happily accomodated. She passes us to the new renters and then never answers her emails stating she is unavailable,

We arrive in St vincent to a suprised apartment owner who seems non the wiser who we are and that we are guest, nevertheless we are accomodated in an oven. The accomodation is unbearable hot and not somewhere we had chosen to stay. We are picked up by the university staff and can only say dumped off. After days off confusion the owner seems dis-interested in the missing deposit we had paid, it again becomes my problem. I had been told by MS HADWAY the deposit had been transfered to the new renters. It is nearly 5 days on and this had put total pressure and stress on our holiday we are not enjoying oursevlves as we are unaware of all the discussions taking place on our part. We are not prepared to pay 100% of the bill without answers to the wherabouts of the rest of the money and we are not in the accomodation we were promised. It seems we are stuck in the middle of a take over bid, two hotels bidding for the medical school buisness and Ms hadaway wins the bid.

Ms hadaway completely destroyed our enjoyment of our holiday and after travelling from the Uk to the caribbean we were disappointed with such behaviour. The only enjoyment was a restaurant owner Pat who totally looked after us and made our visit worthwhile you will find her restaurant at the back of Canash Appartments and indian beach from Oct, she is welcoming and made us feel less alien to the country.

From the moment we arrived we were made welcome. The owner (Celia Hadaway) could see that we'd had a stressful journey and put us at our ease by giving us a hug!

The accommodation was perfect, the most comfortable bed ensured that I had a great night's sleep every night and woke refreshed. Stunning views across the sea on the Windward to Bequia from the complex and some fine restaurants just a few minutes away by car.

We were on a joint work/leisure trip and WiFi is provided and we had our laptop with us so that we could make the most of researching places to go and see as well as keeping up with work.

We felt like part of the Harmony family, the owner's dogs made us very welcome and were waiting to meet us each time we returned from trips with wagging tails.

The staff at Harmony were also a credit to Celia, Sandra the manager, Maralyn, Tamara & Luke all willing to help with anything we needed.

We were sad to leave as our final night in the Caribbean was spent in Grenada so that we could get a connecting flight back to the UK and we missed the home comforts and personal service of Harmony.

I would definitely recommend Harmony to anyone looking for accommodation in St Vincent!

I was required to make a block booking for a workshop I was organising in St Vincent and so needed a relatively large hotel. The Harmony was the one I selected and, with hindsight, I made an excellent choice. Not only are all rooms large, with self-catering facilities - no box type rooms here! - but the beds in particular were extremely comfortable. What made the experience particularly memorable was friendliness and attentiveness of Calia Hadaway, the owner, and her staff. Free Wi-fi was also a boon, given the business nature of my stay.

The only small drawback to the Harmony is its location - for a stay of any significant lenght, a car is advisable However, a good selection of restaurants is available with 15 minutes (no more than US$10 by taxi) and there is a supermarket at the junction of the side road on which the hotel is located and the Windward Highway, the main road on the east side of the island.
