We chartered a boat from Barefoot and spent several days here prior to the rest of the crew arriving. This place is basic, clean, comfortable, pleasant, friendly with a great view and on one of the best swimming beaches on the island. Be aware that this island is not known for great beaches. It is quite poor, the infrastructure and amenities are 3rd world, and basic things you take for granted at home are unknown. It is beautiful and the people were uniformly and genuinely, friendly, helpful and warm. Especially Lucelle, the proprietor of this inn, who made us feel like we were visiting an old friend! Really great experience.

Staying at Tranquility Beach Hotel is a hotel experience you won't find anywhere else. You are treated like a guest but also like a long lost friend. Although it's not part of the usual services, we got to enjoy a fantastic home-cooked dinner from Lucelle's kitchen along with other guests and neighbors. She also took us on a personalized sight seeing and shopping tour in her minivan. For us it was a wonderful experience, that will stay in our memories for a long time.

The hotel itself was clean and comfortable but certainly somewhat rustic and down to earth. That is exactly what we were looking for especially since the price is right too. If you are looking for an antiseptic corporate hotel experience, Tranquility Beach Hotel is not for you. If you want to see St Vincent at its best and most hospitable, by all means try Lucelle's hotel, you will not be sorry.

This was second visit and everything other reviewers say about Lucele is true.She is a saint, kind and generous and wants your trip to be an enjoyable one. I watched the sunset over the ocean, I watched Iguanas sunning themselves in the bush next door. Security is first rate thanks to Washington, luceeles dog. She is at the end of the road to Indian Bay, and the beach is protected from the wind, no matter how windy it gets. I did a lot of snorkelling and enjoyued it immensely. Next year I hope I can spend 3 monthes at Luveele's place. I guess that is all I have to say.

A large group of us and our friends recently chartered a couple of boats from Barefoot, and we needed a place to stay for a couple nights before we sailed. Our friends stayed at a diiferent hotel, recommended by, and near the marina. We being slightly more traveled, opted for a less expensive hotel. Thier's had nothing in the way of a kitchen, not even a coffee machine. Can you imagine? Ours had a full kitchen, privacy and at about half the price. Ours wasnt as fancy, but like I said, we spend more time traveling than they do, and we would rather spend less money and travel more, than take short expensive vacations.
The glorious part of this hotel is Lucelle,the owner. She is so wonderful! when we arrived, she brought me a beer her sister gave my wife a bottle of wine. We were instantly relaxed and at home. While our friends were spending thier money at restaurants, we were relaxing at the beach ouut front and Lucelle was grocery shopping for us (so we could prepare our own meals) and getting our banking done for us. What service! She even drove our friends around that were staying at the other hotel. Being a dog lover I couldn't help but give her pooch a bath. Poor guy is alergic to salt water, but he loves to play in the surf.
This is easliy one of the more enjoyable hotels we have ever stayed in.!
