Ditto the comment re the "braying upper class Brits," who were fun but slightly annoying. But in the round, they mattered not. The place is beautiful, tranquil and expensive, which is fine. However, if you are going to charge serious fees for rooms, food et al, I'd recommend a few more efficiences - such as putting the price of the dinner on the menu! The cost came as a shock when we saw the final bill. Why not tell the punters in advance what the meal will cost? The pool is lovely. We asked for the lunch menu, which eventually arrived, but no one returned to ask for our order. As for the owner and her son. They appeared slightly stand-offish. When we notified them we were leaving early due to poor weather - we returned to Miami, and four days of cloudless, warm weather - her response was the local weather was improving (it didn't) and there it was. No, "well, too bad - thanks for coming, come back soon..." which is what, presumably a strong management system/thoughtful owner would do.
