I was here the nights of August 29 and August 30, 2010. We were assured that it was a furnished apartment in working condition. There were 1000's of bugs, including crawling ones inside the bed. When you lay down on the bed, you can feel the matress spring pressing into your spine. There were geckos in the room as well as their fecal droppings squashed on the walls, running down the walls, and on the floors. The furniture was torn, and the oven did not work at all. It was impossible to cook there, unless you used only the microwave. The problem was that there were not microwave safe pans. Hurricane Earl came at night and flooded the unit. There was nothing to mop all the water up, so we waded through. The owner could have cared less. It was $68 per night, but we were better off staying at a full service hotel on the island. It has a remote location, and it is too dangerous to flag a taxi on the main road. The crime rate is sky high, and you can't safely leave the unit after dark without a car. There is not a restaurant or a bar there as advertised on the website.
