We chose St. Kitts because it is not overly commercialized and we didn't care to be busy all the time. The Golden Lemon met all of our expectations with fabulous food, great service, and a villa with a beautiful view.

The food at the Golden Lemon was outstanding! I couldn't eat enough. We enjoyed the before dinner drinks and conversations with the owners. Our villa was quaint with our own plunge pool and a view of the black sand beaches. The locals on the beach were friendly to us and we felt safe on the beach. We spent most of our time relaxing and enjoying the laid back life of the Caribbean. The Golden Lemon's driver took us to town and showed us the entire island which was quite enjoyable. The cattamaran trip to Nevis should not be missed. We had a wonderful time and would be willing to return!

Just returned - this place needs a lot of work. We had mice running across the bar in the restaurant area, rats on our villa's veranda and an indifferent staff. While the owners are cordial, it's obvious they quit investing in this property some time ago. Sorry, but I cannot recommend it.

From the Inn which is in dire need of a facelift to the beach where the locals train their pitbull dogs to fight, our stay was a disappointment. To make matters worse, during our second night at the Inn an intruder came through our 2nd floor bedroom window. As we slept, he attempted to rob us. Upon awakening with him at the foot of the bed, I chased him out of the room screaming for help. The management was quite ambivalent regarding the incident even when they found that their security guard was off the compound, sleeping on the beach. We have never experienced anything like this in all of our many trips to the Caribbean and it reminded us to always consider security as a part of our travel plans.
