“Love the Beautiful, Quiet, Cayman Breakers Condos”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 August 2011

My husband and I are frequent visitors to Cayman Brac and truly love the Breakers. Although the Breakers are at the far end of the island from the dive shops, the quiet serenity of listening to the ocean waves and the breeze through the coconut palms is part of the beauty of staying there. Cars are available through several rental agencies and are necessary to tour the island and do ones shopping. The condos are all well appointed and the grounds are meticulously maintained. The managers, Nina and Robert Banks, have always been very friendly, helpful, and responsive to our needs. I have witnessed Nina provide for guests' special requests by loaning anything from additional cookware and cooking utensils to food that the guest forgot to purchase from the market while it was open. We find them to be truly hospitable and eager to ensure that every guest enjoys their time at the Breakers.

“Awesome time in Cayman Brac”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 March 2011

Cayman Breakers was a very attractive and well maintained condominium on the East end of the south side of Cayman Brac. 15-20 minutes from the west end where better restaurants and dive shop were located. It was ~ 2 minutes from the far east end beach and cliff climbing wall.
Choose the Breakers because of it's location to climbing wall - our son and friend climbed every afternoon in the shade. The best part about the Breakers was the rinse tank for our scuba gear and the cut in beach (next door) for entrance to water.
Enjoyed ourselves very much.

“decent condo, horrible management”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2009

My wife and I spent a week at the Breakers. When we arrived there was no one to greet us. There was a note on the managers door to let us know which condo we were staying in. Unfortunately, the room was not the one we had paid when we booked online. It was an ocean view and if you positioned your head at the side window just right you could see the ocean. We had asked and paid for an oceanfront room and they stuck us in one of the condos closer to the street. We had to wait until that evening before one of the managers/owners, Robert, arrived and he did move us to the right room. Unfortunately, the air conditioning wasn't working and the condo became a sweat box. There was a lovely ocean breeze so we thought we could open the windows, but then we noticed signs that the management didn't want you to open the windows. It was late, so the first night we toughed it out and told Robert about the a/c problem. He said he would fix it. When we got back from diving that day the a/c still wasn't working, the place only had a few other people at it and we asked if it would be easier to move to another room with a/c but he insisted that he had fixed it. To make a long story short, after working on the a/c all day, and not being able to fix it, he finally got us a new a/c for the room the next day.
We spent most of our days shore diving, which is some of the best diving in the world. A lot of the dive sites are close to shore and only takes a short swim to reach. We thought the local food was delicious and priced reasonable. The local people are shy at first, but if you are friendly to them first, then they seem to open up and are very friendly. We heard a lot of good stories from some of the older Caymanians.
We would definitely go back to the Brac, but not stay at the Breakers again. The condos are nice enough, but they are far away from everything, there is no place to buy food or drinks nearby, and the management is not good. I heard that they are building another condo next door. Hopefully, they will hire a professional management team that knows how to make a guest feel welcome, comfortable and want to come back..

“Cayman Condos - We'll Definitely Be Brac”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 February 2008

We spent 9 nights at Cayman Breakers and had an absolutely fabulous relaxing time. This is a very nice, well stocked and clean condo. When we arrived we were greeted by Nina who books and manages the condos. She was always there to help us with anything we needed. There were even a couple beer in the fridge from the guests before us so when we left we made sure to do the same for the next guests. This Island is like taking a step back in time. On the 13 or so miles of road on each side of the brac (Cayman Condos is on the south side) you might meet up with 3-4 cars the entire way. The one surprise was grocery shopping and we read about it in advance and it was still surprising to find no fresh meat for barbequing of any sort. There was an abundance of frozen pork chops, pork steak, chicken pieces, ox tail and frozen dinners. We are not big on eating in restaurants or night life so nwxt time we visit we'll stop on Grand Cayman for a while first and pack a cooler of the fish and meat we want to cook on Cayman Brac. Coming from the west coast of Canada - packing a cooler all the way from here would be risky. The people we met on Cayman Brac were friendly and very helpful. Go into Native Island Made and talk to Tenison Scott - hopefully he'll tell you a story or two of his. We took a day trip over to Little Cayman and rented a car - there is only one car rental place on Little Cayman - and we drove the entire Island stopping to snorkel at Point of Sand - it has fabulous snorkelling and we'd do that again next time too. We will definitely be back to Cayman Brac again. It's just the place we needed to be at and we felt our shoulders drop to where they should be within the first day... ahhhhhh! Cayman Breakers Condos is a great home away from home and Cayman Brac is a great Island to visit. Chris & Bruce - Qualicum Beach BC CANADA

“Great accommodations”

Cayman Breakers was a great place to stay. It was very clean and nicely decorated with all the comforts of home. It was a very quiet place to stay. The pool area and hammocks were welcomed after a day of diving. Nina provided excellent restaurant tips, namely asking for the bar menu at the dive resorts. Since all food is barged in, food and drinks are quite expensive. Shopping is very limited. The trip to the parrot preserve and lighthouse was disappointing. A great place to relax and dive....
