“Wonderful place to stay.”

My husband and I stayed here for the first half of our honeymoon and had a wonderful time. We stayed in the 2 bedroom villa on the beach (actually there is a small infrequently traveled road between the villa and the beach). The Walton's and Nina (the cook) were incredibly nice. Every morning Nina made us a delicious breakfast which was perfect before a long day of diving.
This is a place to totally relax and scuba dive as there is not much going on on the island. It was a fantastic trip.

“The Best!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 April 2007

This is an incredible B & B, due largely to hosts Lynne and George Walton. The manor itself is great, with a large communal lounge area with TV, where breakfast is cooked to your order every day. If you want anything special, Lynne will go out of her way to get it for you. The rooms are fine, with comfy beds and plenty of hanging/drawer space, air con and small but adequate bathroom. Fresh towels every day and bed linen changed every three days. The grounds are just fantastic, with a few surprises - Lynne or George will give you a guided tour! These grounds lead down to the beach (across a small road) where there is a gazebo and a small sandy area with lounge chairs. In calm weather you can snorkel from here.
Wherever we went on Cayman Brac we met people who would say with a smile "Oh, you're staying with the Waltons" . We stayed for 2 weeks and felt like family by the time we left.
Considering the alternatives available on Brac I can't understand why everybody doesn't want to stay at Walton's Mango Manor!
Note: There is also a 2-bed villa available for rent at the bottom of the property down on the shore road which we looked at. If travelling with friends this would be ideal.

“We caught island fever”

The night we spent at Walton's Mango Manor during a recent trip to the Caymans was one of the highlights of our trip. George and Lynne were gracious and fascinating hosts. Our room was clean and comfortable. The air conditioning and fan helped keep the room cool. A fine breadfast was prepared for the time we designated. Their large lot goes down to the sea. You won't believe what you will find in their back yard--I don't want to give this away.Their beach area is well-maintained and beautiful, within its walled confines. You need to appreciate the geography of the island to understand why they don't have the ideal sandy shore--it indeed is rocky. This makes for good scuba and snorkeling. A public sandy beach is available on the island. Sandy beaches are relatively rare on this island. We liked the island and representative residents like the Waltons so much we bought some raw land to build our retirement home on.We should note that we spent most of our time on Grand Cayman, on the water, in the West Bay area by Seven Mile beach. If you like taking the only road in that area in gridlock traffic for 45-60 minutes to travel the actual 5.5 mile length of that beach, then you'll enjoy Grand Cayman. If you prefer a more bucolic, ecologically focused environment, then head to the Brac.

“No beach in site...”

Beware! This bed and breakfast is NOT located on a beach, as is implied in its advertising. The "private beach" is a small rectangle of sand cut out of solid rock that is a five minute walk away. If you are looking to stay on an actual beach, head to one of the resorts or condos on the south shore.

The bed and breakfast itself is rather dull. You will need a car to get around as there is nothing within walking distance.

“We felt really at home”

This guest house on the quiet island of Cayman Brac is lovely. It has itsits own beach complete with palm trees and gazebo, which is reached by walking through a lush garden to the rear of the house. We had a very warm welcome from George and Lynne , who made us feel at home. They gave us lots of good advice as to enjoy the island. The room that we had was super. The Brac is not a place for those who wish to live it up, but go there and experience the genuine warm welcome from the Braccers. Enjoy the jerk pork and chicken on Friday nights ...
