“Love it!”

My family has stayed at the Nautilus Apartments manyl times over the past several years and we keep coming back. We book both apartments for a week and all cook together when we are not going out.. The accomodations are very comfortable with two large rooms upstairs each with their own very large bathroom and dressing area. Both rooms have balconeys. Downstairs has a large kitchen and breakfast room, a half bath with a W/Dryer and a living area. It is right on the beach and there is also a patio with grill and decks for sunning or sitting under the trees. The beach is nice but Hurrican Ivan did knocked down the sea wall and took part of the beach and it will take some time for that to build back up but that is the same all over the island. Some of the best smorkeling is directly out from the apartments. You can also walk down the beach to the cemetary where there is great snorkeling. We love it because it is away from the crowded beaches, comfortable and our entire family can all be together. It is not fancy but very nice, well kept, spacious and clean. The beach side of the street has million dollar homes and the other side of the street has traditional Caymanian homes. There is also a one story historical 2 bedrom 2 bath with kitchen and screened porch. It is not aiir conditioned but quite comfortable most of the year. There is even an efficency apartment that will sleep two. The owners are very, very nice.

“You Feel Like Family”

We stayed in the Nautilus Cottage. It is rustic (no A/C, historic building) but comfortable, and definitely one of the best values on the Island. The best part is how Frank & Beth make you feel right at home, answering all of your questions and making excellent recommendations.
You can't beat walking out the front door onto a patio overlooking the surf and the best view of Georgetown on the Island. We'll be back!

“Nautilus Apartments...best value!!”

If you are looking for a place to stay away from the commercial part of Seven Mile Beach, the Nautilus Apts. is perfect for you. The apartments are located in North Seven Mile Beach, which is a secluded area of the beach in West Bay. There are four units on the property-- two apartments, one cottage (listed in the historic registry) and a studio cottage. Although we stayed in the historic cottage, the owners let us peek into the other units. The aparments are newly renovated, air-conditioned and would be great for families or couples traveling together. The studio is a bit small, but still has the same view and amenities as the cottage, which has two bedrooms, two baths and a full kitchen. The view can't be beat! There are two decks that are right on the beach and look out onto the ocean. Several beautiful snorkeling sites can be reached easily from their property-- by swimming out several yards into the water! The owners, Frank and Beth Roulstone, have lived on the island since before there was water and electricity and can tell you stories about how the Caymans have changed over the years. They were also incredibly helpful with any and all of our requests (dining out, diving/snorkeling companies, transportation and shopping). The Nautilus was exactly what we were looking for-- a smaller, less commercial and more personal accomodation. We will be back!
