I have stayed here with my family approximately 10 times over the last several years. It is clean, comfortable, and on a great section of Seven Mile Beach. Staff is friendly and helpful and the grounds are beautiful. People who stop in Grand Cayman from a cruise are not allowed on the Lacovia beach furniture which keeps it open, clean and quiet. I would never think of staying anywhere else. When the condos say "oceanfront" THEY MEAN IT. You can walk out your door and be in the sand in 3 steps.

We just returned from a 6 night vacation from Lacovia wtih our 3 kids, ages 19 to 23, for the second time! Location, excellent!!! Sandra, manager, the best! Looking forward for 2010!!!

My wife and I stayed in unit 22. It was very spacious. The place wasn't updated, but it was very clean. The bed wasn't the best, but that was our biggest complaint. There are 2 balconies, one off the of the family room, and one of the master bedroom (next floor up).

The staff was very friendly, and the maid service was great. One drawback is that there are no do-not-disturb signs. Watch out for maids wandering in...

The grounds are well kept, but the hot tub was much to hot. The beach was fantastic. Very clean, pure, white sand and not crowded at all.

The location is great. It is in the middle of Seven Mile Beach, easy walking distance to a grocery store and a couple of restaurants (Deckers for dinner, Chicken Chicken for lunch).

Overall - great stay. I would recommend Lacovia to anyone.

We just returned from a week's stay over Easter in a one bedroom gardenview unit at Lacovia. Beginning with the excellent service of Sandra, the reservationist, we had a great time. We were traveling with friends and had 4 adults and 3 teenagers. Our one bedroom was immaculately clean--decor was a little 80's but we didn't care. Fully equipped kitchen and even washer and dryer with daily maid service (except Sunday). Lacovia is oceanfront mid Seven Mile Beach with plenty of umbrellas for shade. Pool is well maintained as are tennis court (they have racquets to lend) and a small but well equipped excerise room.
A well stocked grocery store is a walkable distance. Tip: You can take the store carts back to Lacovia and the store will collect them at night. A liquor store is also close by. We basically bought breakfast foods, sandwich making and hors d'ouevres for our nightly happy hours on the beach watching glorious sunsets.
The beach is wonderful and you can snorkel right off the beach. Water is calm and bottom sandy. We were even witnesses to a beach front wedding at Lacovia one day!
We rented a car (mini van for seven folks--used Andy's car rental--they were great) for two days and found that was enough. We used it to go to Rum Point (worth a visit) and to the Lighthouse Restaurant and Macabuca Restaurant. We also ate at Cafe Med (across the street from Lacovia, Italian food--delicious, Copper Falls Steak House (quite pricey but it was our last night and we wanted to celebrate)
Did Stingray City--a lot of fun and worth the trip. Close by are all the typical watersports.
We were warned of potential construction noise next door but from Trip Advisor Forum, we learned that the pricey condos to be build next door have been put on hold due to the economy.
The Caymans are quite expensive because most things are imported. We knew this going in so it wasn't a surprise.
