The Villas of the Galleon provided a perfect Christmas holiday for us in 2011. What you see is exactly what you get. Many rentals often show great pics, then you get there and wonder where they were taken. Not here, the pictures shown on here are real. Can't imagine staying anywhere but here when we come back. Perfect condo, location, beach, water, and staff!!!

We booked a quick last minute get away at Sherry's Unit 30 at the Villas of Galleon and couldn't be more pleased. It's a well decorated & equiped condo on a beautiful property, extremely friendly staff, great location on 7 mile beach. It's a quick and easy taxi ride from & to the airport as we didn't rent a car. Everything we needed was within walking distance from the Villas: restaurants, grocery store, etc. Lisa did a great job of providing everything we needed and the information was right on! More about the property, beautiful water and stretch of beach. I haven't seen water that clear in a long time. The beach is basically yours and not crowded at all, the Villas provide chairs, beach towels and umbrellas for your use. We snorkeled right off the beach at the hotel and saw an abundance of fish, coral and even a lobster. If you're looking for action sports, there are beach / water rental centers next to the villas for your use. Overall if you are looking for a great propery on one of the most beautiful beached in the world, this is the place. If you are thinking about it, stop & book it, you won't be disappointed! We were so pleased with our choice of the Villas of the Galleon. Our one-bedroomed unit (no 4) was just yards from the quiet sandy beach and about halfway along, between the Ritz and the Westin (whose beaches were crowded and nowhere near as nice). There was never any difficulty getting sun loungers and you could just pick your spot. Also, I really liked the fact that they weren't stingy with the number of beach towels you could have and all the towels were better quality than we've had in some high-end hotels.
It was perfectly placed for most of the restaurants also, but we were so glad we had chosen self-catering as Grand Cayman is not cheap to eat out. Fosters supermarket was just a short walk up the road. The apartment had free high speed wi-fi which we found really useful, flat screen televisions, a safe, an iron/ironing board, washer/dryer, hairdryer and the kitchen was pretty well-equipped, although some black-out curtains in the bedroom would have been a bonus.
Lisa, the resort manager, was really helpful and allowed us to check out late as we had an evening flight home, and the cleaners were always smiling and friendly and came every day bar Sunday.
We normally stay in hotels but if you're coming to GC I would highly recommend you stay here. I only wish we were still there!

Cayman Islands are an easy trip - locals courteous and helpful and welcoming. Third trip to Caymans and first time at Villas of Galleon--amazing location, just steps to the uncrowded beach with lounges and towels provided. Suites include everything you could think of--insulated coolers, blenders, washer/dryer, hair dryers etc. Enjoy breakfast and lunch from what you purchase at nearby grocery store while sitting on the beach and take a cab to the great restaurant choices. Bring your own snorkel gear and snorkel as much as you like, right out your door.
