“A+++ hidden resort!”

My fiance and I stayed at the lovely Paradise Beach Resort in October and I can't say enough about the place! If you want peace and quiet, this is the spot for you! We had the beach all to ourselves and the owner, Victor and his lovely wife were absolutely wonderful hosts! You'll enjoy the free jeep rental as food is not close by.

“BEachfront Paradise”

We stayed at Paradise Beach in May 2004. It is by far the most beautiful setting I've ever stayed in. Our villa was directly on the beach, and it was no big thing to walk right off the patio and into the ocean. The one-bedroom villa was plenty spacious, with a king bed in the rear and two daybeds in the living room. It was attached to another villa, so it was more like a twin, but we had no problem with noise. Our building-mates were very nice and quiet. The snorkeling right outside our door was phenomenal. Sort of a best-kept secret. The first night we got there, we went swimming, and the next morning, we put on our snorkeling gear and were astounded at the numbers of fish and the beautiful coral within feet of the water's edge. We had gone in oblivious the night before.
The grounds are beautifully landscaped. The staff is extremely friendly, and we even shared our lunch with the housekeepers one day.
Having said all that, the property is in need of repair. Some screens were missing. The artwork and furniture was faded and old (but comfortable). This is not a luxury place, and we were not paying luxury prices, since we stayed in the off season. I would say that the superb location, the brand new rental car included with the villa, and the fantastic beach far overshadowed any small complaints we may have had about the physical condition of the property.
Also, we thought we got breakfast on the first morning, but when we arrived, there was nothing of the sort offered.

“Mixed feelings”

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at this resort. I should first say that the beach was absolutely GORGEOUS. We were in the water almost every day, and there is some very nice snorkeling literally 20 ft. off shore. We used some of the equipment provided by Paradise Beach although we ended up buying our own masks because the complimentary ones weren't of very good quality. We had a beachfront room which was spacious and had a beautiful view. Unfortunatly, the screens for the sliding doors/windows weren't tight, so due to the large number of mosquitoes we weren't actually able to open them. This meant we had to keep the AC on the whole time even though there would have been a nice breeze off of the ocean, which was a bummer. I ended up with 25+ bites on my legs by the end of the first day, before we realized this. We were also there during the low season, so frequently there was no one at the desk to answer questions that we might have about the island, or things to do. So we were on our own with that. The last thing is that my husband and left 1 day early because there was a hurricane about 100 miles off shore, and the resort actually tried to charge us for that day (even though we left in the morning)! I would understand if they'd needed that room for someone else, but we were the absolute LAST ones left at the resort. It kinda gave me a sour taste and made me feel like I was being ripped off.

Anyway, I guess my experience at Paradise Beach was nice enough, but I wasn't 100% pleased. I felt we would have gotten a lot better service if we'd stayed at Little Dix Bay, or another resort on a different island.

“EnjoyVirgin Gorda and stay at Paradise Beach”

We just arrived back from Virgin Gorda June 23. We had planned for this trip for 10 mos and as the trip grew closer our anticipation and excitement grew. We were not disappointed with our decision to visit Virgin Gorda and our stay at Paradise Beach was superb. This was our first family trip to the Carribean and we had a great time. We really enjoyed our time 8 days at Paradise Beach Resort. We had about a thirty second walk to a beautiful beach and snorkeling. The villa we had was clean and neat and the maid came daily and was always very pleasant, she even did our laundry 2x. Victor the owner was great he was very helpful and knowledgeable and did his best to see that we were having a great time. My husband and sons are crazy about fishing and Victor took a lot of time trying to find charters for them. They did get to go fishing but there is few charter boats that will go out at a resonable price. Lots of fish but not many fishermen on Virgin Gorda. Our villa was very comfortable and we did not even miss not having a tv as we were too exhausted from all our snorkeling adventures during the day. Don't miss Spring Bay, it is a must. The villa we stayed in had an outdoor kitchen which took a little getting use to but it was really fine. We had such a lovely time in Virgin Gorda we were sad to leave not knowing when or if we will ever be able to come back. If you have the chance, go to Virign Gorda and enjoy a stay at Paradise Beach!!!

“Fantastic”

We just rolled out of the bungalow onto the beach - fantastic:
-Sunsets
-quiet
-beach
-snorkelling
-pelicans
-walks......
The accommodation is fine and has everything, but the best part is the setting and the peace. We took our two children (ages 8 and 13), everyone really enjoyed it, a real adventure away from it all. The closest comparison is a remote Scottish island with sunshine.
