We had a tremendous stay at Casa Rocalta and highly recommend both Virgin Gorda and Casa Rocalta. The location was great - just a short drive to town, and a very short walk to beautiful quiet beaches. We found a morning walk along the beach was a great day starter. Several days we made the slightly longer but manageable walk to the magnificent trail through the Baths. The villa was immaculately clean (a priority for us), spacious and very private - we were immediately comfortable there. The villa is built into the side of a cliff and afforded magnificent views of Tortola and the Sir Francis Drake Channel. We ended most days with cocktails in or around the pool watching spectacular sunsets over the Channel. The photos here are a good sampling of the experience. The grounds are nicely landscaped with a variety of flowering plants and shrubs. Another cool feature - the buildings on the property actually integrated the boulders into the construction. We'll be back!!

I have been staying at Guavaberry for the last 12 years. We always have a different house and have never been disappointed. Each is unique and all have fabulous views of Francis Drake, Tortola and St John from the decks. The houses are impeccably clean and well stocked with everthing you need to for the perfect vacation. Just bring your clothes and your sunscreen. The only drawback to Virgin Gorda is that it is very quiet - few restaurant and little nightlife. BUT since that is not what we go for, we think it is perfect! Lots of scrabble and other games in the evenings. The commissary is well stocked and the prices are good. Michelle, Tina and Valerie are wonderful - like family after all of these years. You don't need a car if you don't want one. With the commissary and the most perfect beach within walking distance, you don't need a car. We always rent one from Mahogany though so that we can visit Spanish Town and shop in the local stores. Guavaberry makes me happy!

There is not much else to say other than book it NOW! Tina, Valerie and Michelle provide the best resort services of anywhere I have ever stayed. The GSB Vacation Homes are wonderful, each with unique views of the Sir Francis Drake Channel, walking distance to the best beach in the BVI, also the Baths, Devils Bay etc. There is a commissary on site. If you choose to you can cook all meals in your cottage and never leave GSB and have the most relaxed vacation experience you can possibly imagine.....actually you cannot until you have experienced it.

For the last few years my wife and I have rented one of the Deluxe Villas that holds up to 8 comfortably. I won't give away the name lest you beat us to our dates!!!!

We went there with the intention for just going once as a Caribbean vacation and now like nearly everyone else at GSB we are lifers....

There just is no reason to look further for us. I am sure there are wonderful spots in other places but the perfect combination of the location, the homes, the management, the beaches, the weather etc just makes for a perfect winter time beach vacation. I wouldn't dare missing GSB in ieu of visiting another place..

We spent 7 days/ 6 nights on the incredible island of Virgin Gorda. The accommodations were outstanding. If you our looking for an uncomplicated, clean, comfortable, well located, and gorgeous place to stay, look no further. Tina and Michelle were gracious hosts. The villas are simple, spacious, and well equipped (except for a blender). The layout of the property is incredible. We stayed at the Hibiscus house which looked out over Spring Bay with a million dollar sunset view. It was a 5-6 minute walk to Spring Bay (no big deal since we could pick up something from their well stocked commissary.......(Yum..Roti). Spring Bay has great snorkeling and connects easily to other equally spectacular uncrowded beaches. It is a short walk to the Baths which you can easily enjoy "sans" cruise ships( early in the AM -sunrise wow!- or after 4pm -sunset wow!) The location of Guavaberry allows you to not only enjoy the BVI's natural beauty but also enjoy the great people who inhabit the island. The 1-2 mile walk to Spanishtown passes by the schools, churches, and some great businesses to supply you with fresh baked items (LSL Bakery), groceries (Bucks or Rosy's), and eateries (Go local go Coconut Junction). We rented a car two days, at the suggestion of Michelle, from Mahogany Rentals. It was quite possibly the easiest rental transaction ever, delivered to us and arranged for us to leave at the ferry lot on the last day by the great folks from Mahogany. It was a great decision which allowed us to travel the whole island walk the paths at Bitter End and Biras and eat at HOG HEAVEN. Don't miss out on a meal there. They have great prices, great food (conch cerviche and BBQ pork to die for), jaw dropping view, and fabulous people (thanks Olga). From Guavaberry it is an easy drive to Savannah Beach long, lovely, and often not occupied. Take a nice hike from Savannah Bay to Little Dix and up the Cow Path for a spectacular view of the Valley to the south and the beach and Gorda peak to the north. We would give Guavaberry 5 stars but being concerned about water use and reducing excess we asked to have our linen be replaced only once. Unfortunately we got new house towels daily except for the last 2 days. Stay at Guavaberry Spring Bay,,,,TWO THUMBS UP!
