I cannot rate this place with hotel ratings! It should not even be in the "hotel" category. It is carpeted and the carpet has obviously not been cleaned for some time and that gives it a musty smell which you notice as soon as you enter the building. It has an escalator which is not working so you have to carry your bags up a long and very narrow flight of stairs to get to the Reception area and then if your room is not on that floor, up another flight of long and narrow stairs!. The bedrooms are also carpeted and not cleaned. There was some kind of droppings - maybe Lizard droppings - inside the drawers of the bedside table. The toilet in our bathroom leaked every night and flooded the bathroom and even leaked on to the bedroom carpet. We reported this after the first night and nothing was done about it. And English is defiitely not the language of some of the receptionists whom you cannot get to understand what you are saying. Yet English is the official language of Tortola which is British after all! We were only staying 3 nights and for me even that was too long.
It is quite close to the Ferry Dock so maybe you might be able to deal with one night but I would not recommend this Place to anyone at all!

A group of camp followers for the Caribbean Union of Teachers' 12th Biennial Championships, July 2008, stayed. here for a week. The place was clean, comfortable, safe and most of all, convenient. It is also reasonably priced for the traveler who is looking for such.

The accommodation though not 5 Star, is ideal for travelers who are on foot as almost anything, restaurants, shopping, ferry and taxis are within walking distance.

Concerns were addressed almost immediately by the delegated persons and Suzanne was an extremely good hostess.

I will stay there again.

I stayed here with my 19 year old daughter last March. The hotel was the cheapest on the island and most certainly in the handiest location. We did not have high expectations as this is part of the beauty of the island in that it is relatively unspoilt and NOT overcrowded with touristy accommodation. You still get roaches however much you pay! We found the staff very friendly and obliging, the room clean - we had a laugh when the water went off after a thunderstorm but this is part of the charm. The location is safe at night, inhabitants of Tortola are very friendly and charming - they even stop their cars to let you across the road!
Would recommend going to the island sooner rather than later as Ive heard that one of the hotel chains is to build there soon.

PS the elevator does work - its just not used very often but they will put it on for you if you ask!!

This was a goofy place which we chose because of its convenient location before our charter started.
It has surely seen better days, and we had quite a laugh over the dried up ancient jacuzzi and the only escalator in the BVIs. It didn't work. The bathrooms were clean and had nice fresh towels. I had a new mattress, so that was nice, but my room window looked out to a hallway. The air conditioning and ceiling fan worked. So you get what you pay for, but I think this property could have been a gem once upon a time. If you have low expectations, this place will exceed them.
