We recently did a two week bareboat charter in the British Virgin Islands. We booked one night at the Hotel Castle Maria prior to our charter. Upon arrival the Hotel refused to honor the price quoted, for three people, when we made the reservation. We had the reservation number and the original price quote but it did not matter to the staff. The desk clerk was giving us a room for 4 when there was only 3 in our party which was allegedly the reason for the price increase. There was no room for discussion with the staff and when we asked to see a manager none were available.
We stayed the night and voiced our displeasure about not honoring the quote but it fell on deaf ears. When we again asked for a manager no one was available.
We later met a family of four staying there for a night but had not checked in yet and told them of our incident. When we saw these people the next day they were charged $45.00 less for a room for four than we were charged the night before. Thier inconsistacy in pricing and obviuosly lack of caring puts this hotel on my "buyers beware" list
