“Paradise”

We spent a fantastic week at Brewer's Bay Campground at the end of March. We were there 9 years ago and always wanted to return. It was great! The campground is unchanged. It's rustic. If you are looking for luxury, honestly, go someplace else. This is paradise! The beach is at your tent door, the snorkeling is the best. This is for people who truly enjoy camping, love being outdoors, and only require the basics. What else do you need? We met many very nice people that were camping and people that live locally. Lu and Karl run the campground and they are truly wonderful people. We met some very nice people from Guyana. By the end of the week the campground was full.
The tents were spacious, the box springs and mattresses did not smell and were comfortable, clean linen is provided the day you arrive. Lu provided a propane stove, a cooler, propane, what ever you needed. She's a great cook and can cook something special for you if you ask ahead of time. Usually a group for a reasonable fee.
Campers generally have a common mind set and like to help each other and around the campground, if you want all the amenities go to a hotel. If you want to kick back and enjoy life, come here.

My God all the negative reviews are right on! Brewer's Bay is terrible! Not just the campground but the whole area as there are actually COWS running loose, hords of Pelican's diving into the water while we're in there trying to relax, sometimes the waves make so much noise you can't hear yourself talk. Not to mention that grill that makes those smelly cheesburgers and that Nicole guy who's a YANKEES fan. The road to get to Brewer's is treacherous so I can't believe we actually drive it 3 - 4 times per trip. The worst part is that there's often no one else on the whole beach to complain to about this. The bar closes and the employees actually go home to enjoy their families, the NERVE!

I'll NEVER go back to Brewer's Bay...until May.

wanted to love it, but the beach is overrun by aggressive pelicans. the bars close at 4pm. all responsible owners/employes vanish after 5pm. bathrooms are not functional, in a first world perspective. wild animals roam around. awesome time if your in the mood for it.

“So Great”

A unique experience. Sure It's a bit rustic-Co0ld water showers, sand on the washroom floor, but right on the beach. My tent was excellent, the mattress likewise. but if you are some kind of Uppie Princess Brewer's Bay is not for you. Any tent zipper will jam if not carefully used. The other campers were just as happy with the place as we were. Paul Hennig Toronto
