We spent a fantastic week at Brewer's Bay Campground at the end of March. We were there 9 years ago and always wanted to return. It was great! The campground is unchanged. It's rustic. If you are looking for luxury, honestly, go someplace else. This is paradise! The beach is at your tent door, the snorkeling is the best. This is for people who truly enjoy camping, love being outdoors, and only require the basics. What else do you need? We met many very nice people that were camping and people that live locally. Lu and Karl run the campground and they are truly wonderful people. We met some very nice people from Guyana. By the end of the week the campground was full.
The tents were spacious, the box springs and mattresses did not smell and were comfortable, clean linen is provided the day you arrive. Lu provided a propane stove, a cooler, propane, what ever you needed. She's a great cook and can cook something special for you if you ask ahead of time. Usually a group for a reasonable fee.
Campers generally have a common mind set and like to help each other and around the campground, if you want all the amenities go to a hotel. If you want to kick back and enjoy life, come here.
