The beaches are fine, not great, lots of wind and cloudy (apparently this is common) the grounds of the Mont Vernon are run down, the pool area is being repaired through April, loud banging, trucks, rude workman, you cant sit around the pool area....besides its a safety hazard!!!! You hae to walk down the beach to get peace and quiet to enjoy the ocean but be prepared to pay $8-$15 a piece for an umbrella and chair to sit on! I went 20 years ago...a different place altogether....such a disappointment and rip off...everything so expensive and dirty. Nevver Again!!!!

This was the second time I had stayed here and it is great to see the amount of investment the owners of all the studios are putting into re-vitalising the 'Hotel'.
I spoke with several people whilst there and they informed me a new state of the art security surveillance system is being installed and that they now have full time security staff 24/7
There is a new car park facility just being finished and there is work being done on the bottom car park..the grounds are clean and well presented. There is work happening on the pool deck after Hurricane Earl did some damage.
I stayed in Saba and had a terrific holiday walking the beach and just relaxing..good to be able to grab some urgent shopping from the on site supermarket and good pizzas as well..highly recommended and we shall be going back next year for sure..love this end of Orient Beach

Not a bad place, not to ritz either. Rented a clean newly remodeled unit from private party. Pool deck needs work but who is interested in the pool when the ocean calls. Very close to the ocean, clean area, close to pina island and other beaches. If your an adventure lover and a water lover this is not a bad place to spend a couple of weeks in the winter. We will go back this winter for two weeks. We like the place.

Mont Vernon Is not a hotel.It is all privately owned Condos
When someone rents here they are renting from the owners
I have bought one of the studios and live here about 8 months out of the year.
Alot of the owners live in France and rent the units out
If you are lookng for a cheap place to stay mont vernon is good for that
I love the view and being on orient beach we redid our unit and but in a stove and a larger refridgerator.
Most of the pople here are renters who work here on the island.
There are no hotel servicesand you mostly have to take care of your own food unless you go out ..
This is a cheap place to stay and save money for other activities.
The association is working on cleaning up the property and painting but it is one of the largest complexes on the French side (400) units
i live here and love it but if you want ammenities you should look elesewhere
