“another quality stay at princess heights”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

this was my third time at the princess heights, and each time i go i remember why i loved it so much the last visit. the condos were spotless as usual, the service was friendly and efficient, really no complaints. a nice addition this year was the wifi, which while not the fastest in the whole world, it did the trick when i needed to catch up on work in the evenings. if you are looking for a condo with a kitchen and nice living space, and dont care about not having room service or a lobby like a resort, you'll love the princess heights.

Room Tip: ask for the new building condos....

“Simply great condo hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

We stayed here for five nights in a two bedroom condo on the 6th floor of the new building (there is also an older building). The condo is really well situated on a hill overlooking Dawn Beach, with super views out over the ocean (although it does also overlook the Westin hotel which is directly on the beach). Everything was immaculate and very nicely furnished, all in excellent condition. The staff were particularly welcoming and helpful. The beach is a (very) short walk down the hill, no more than five minutes. There are restaurants within walking distance but I think it would be necessary to have a car to explore the island and find all the best beaches and other restaurants. It was a simply great place for a relaxing holiday., away from the crazy bustle of the busier parts of the island, which nevertheless were easily accessible by car. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: The staff recommended that we choose the newer building and we were very pleased, as it has a lift...

“What a View”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

This is a great place to spend time in St Maarten's. It has all of the amenities that one could possibly want. Away from the traffic found near the airport region and close to Philipsburg and the beaches on the French side. You need a car to enjoy this hotel as well as the Westin below. We see lost souls walking the hills near these properties and shake our heads. The beautiful homes on the hills surrounding the hotel are fun to see each morning as we look out at St Bart's

Room Tip: Upper building has an elevator but you need to drive the HILL.

“Truely a GEM !”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

Great folks who own and operate this slightly out of the way resort. The facilities are well maintained, have beautiful views and the staff is very accommodating. For the Oyster Pond area this ranks as one of the best.

Room Tip: Just ask for the "best view" and if they have ocean, they upgrade you.

“All we could ask for!”

We have been to St. Maarten in the past, but this was our first time at Princess Heights, since we were recommended this hotel last time we were on island. I wish I had known this place before, and here’s why:

First of all, the rooms are great! We rented a 1 bedroom Suite. What you seen in the pictures is what you really get: enormous, comfortable, luxury apartment s with full kitchens. We had breakfast sent by the hotel a couple of days upon request and wifi internet access, (which we were told it’s a new free service, so the cable we brought was not necessary anymore)… This kind of place guarantees the comfort of you and your family. I really enjoyed our homemade breakfasts and dinners at the balcony, watching the view to St. Barths.

The Location was also perfect for us. During high season, being surrounded by thousands of people and stucked with hundreds of cars by Maho and Simpson Bay was not what we were looking for anymore. Anyway, it’s just a 20-25 minute drive there. Besides, the location of the hotel gives you direct access both to the Dutch side and the French side, which has plenty of beaches and restaurants to choose from.. I´ve read people who complained about the hotel being too far… well I did not feel anything was far in such a small island.

Finally, my compliments to the staff. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the front desk agents, young, polite, helpful people. They even got us to our unit and provided us with complimentary drinks as they helped us get familiar with the place and its surroundings. A couple of times we also met part of the management team, who actually seem to be on top of any demand you have. The only minor issue we had with the AC thermostat was fixed in no time. Another thing I liked is that the staff do their best not to disturb your privacy and space, something I find difficult to find in most hotels. Thanks a lot guys.

I would definitely recommend this place, and of course we´ll be back as soon as we can. Try to get this car rental deals the hotel offers for some dates. It’s really saves you money and time. For an island like st. Maarten, you really need a car.
