I decided to give this place a try after reading good reviews posted previously and it was a disappointment from the start. The place is run down, old and tired looking. We were going to stay there for 10 days, however after being bitten by bed bugs and being told by the owner that "those are small, that is no problem for him" we left. Fast. Never to come back.
If someone told us about it, it would save us from a lot of trouble of looking for a new place, packing and moving on our precious vacation when every hour counts and you're there to relax.

This is one of the most relaxing and peaceful hotels I have ever stayed in. The views form our room were incredible. When we arrived, we walked out to the veranda and immediately fell in love with the place. You could see several small islands near Orient Beach, and St. Barts out on the horizon. Every day we had breakfast on the veranda in the morning, then mixed up some rum drinks in the evening and enjoyed the spectacular view. The room was very nice, and was decorated with a caribbean flair. Most of the other guests were from Europe. We chatted with several people at the pool, but it was a pretty quiet, with a laid back atmosphere. We enjoyed talking to Francoise who is a manager. We had stayed previously at the Alamanda, which was very nice, but the Alizea was one third the cost. With the money we saved, we lived it up at Spiga and Bistrot Caribe in Grand Case. We plan on returning in the Winter!
