I have stayed a Ladera three times, Jalousie twice and Anse Chastanet once, but La Bagatelle blows them all out of water. You will need to rent a jeep, but it is definitely worth the trip. I walked to Anse Chastanet Beach nearly everyday, it was about 10 minutes to walk there and 20 minutes to walk back (due to the terrain. We drove to Jalousie's beach, which is about a ten minute drive.
This house is huge and well laid out. I was initially worried about the lack of air conditioning, but the house is breezy and this did not pose a problem. The vast majority of the house is open air with no windows or walls, but the bedrooms and kitchen is easily closed. The view is amazing. There is also a cool hammock which overlooks the sea and the Pitons. There are actually two pools and a tennis court!
The owner is gracious and lives next door and is willing to accomodate just about any needs. The cook is fabulous and even baked my sister a birthday cake.
You will not be disappointed!!!
