A group of 3 families, 7 people rented this 3 bedroom villa for a week. It was a really good value for money given the period we went and the fact that all other sensibly priced options were not available. The villa was situated on top of a hill which you accessed through a really bumpy road, high clearance vehicle recommended. It had stunning views of Rodney Bay with the small hills surrounding it. It was really close to Pigeon Beach and Gros Islet which is ideal when you want to get to a beach or a store quickly.
Cleaning was done twice in the week we stayed with plenty of towels available even for beach use. We didn't use the plunge pool since we had the beach and nice Carribean waters close by.
The villa could use some refreshing, especially with the blinds, but I can't complain about that.
All in all it was an enjoyable stay made all the more memorable by the friendly staff and people of the island.

Zephyr Hill is fabulous! It overlooks both the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea, and is close to the beautiful beaches and excellent resturants of St. Lucia.

I would highly Zephyr Hill and the professional service that we experience during our stay.

Because we were going to be visiting St. Lucia for ten days, we opted for a villa rather than a hotel for our family of three. We were very glad we did. For just about what we would have paid for a single hotel room with a kitchenette, we got a two-storey villa (Frangipani 2) with all the amenities - fully-equipped kitchen, separate living and dining spaces, two spacious bedrooms with king-size beds and attached bathrooms, and a large furnished porch with a small plunge pool. The villa is clean and tastefully decorated and is surrounded by beautiful flowering shrubs and trees in quiet gated community. St. Lucia has been having problems with crime but we felt quite safe in our villa. Cheli and the rest of the staff are very friendly and helpful. We plan to stay at Gateway Villas whenever we return to St. Lucia.

My wife has decided that I must become computer literate and my first task is to write this review, so apologies for any typo's. Having stayed in St Lucia before but in hotels, we decided to go down the villa rental route for a change. We were travelling with friends but had a limited budget for accommodation so on the advice of a colleague we researched the Gateway Villas site. Upon arrival we were more than happy with our choice of the two-bedroom townhouse with plunge pool. The villas (or condo's as they are correctly called) are set within a gated community either on the hillside with views across to Rodney Bay or lower down in the peaceful landscaped gardens (ideal for children to play in). The townhouse was equipped with everything we needed and much more, it is well furnished with many homely touches. In the evenings it was wonderful being able to relax in the plunge pool, sit on the terrace having a drink and chat about the days events, and not having to dress up and go out for dinner every evening was a blessing due to having a large BBQ on hand. We found all the Gateway Villas staff to be helpful and professional, a particular mention for Cheli, the manageress who was charming and an absolute mine of information. Ideally you need to rent a vehicle but the bus stop and beaches are only about a 15 minute walk away, so it isn't absolutely necessary to have one for every day of your stay, there is a phone in the villa which can be used to call for a taxi or pizza delivery. Love the island and the people and will be back soon. We would certainly recommend Gateway Villas to anyone looking for reasonably priced self-catering accommodation close to Rodney Bay.
